The school has a good discipline and the Maths, Science and English department are fine, having no serious issues but other features are something you'll need to think about. For example, bullying isn't a frequent occasion but if it does occur is won't stop so the victim will have to get used to the problem. The school canteen is one of the schools major issues; it is very expensive to the amount of food they give for it; the food is either too hot or too cold and most of the food is not up to standard. No one asks for 5* food but this not at least 3*: for example the macaroni cheese is all right but others like lasagne is disgraceful. Another major problem is detention. Those teachers who aren't capable of controlling the class, just give a detention(s) to the troublemaker and other innocent ones. Finally, the last but biggest issue is that in year 9, your playground will be less than the size of your back garden (but there are a lot of sports clubs at before school/ lunch/ after school). I did post this on a fake account to prevent problems happening to me at school!!!

I worked in this school for two weeks, as a cover supervisor those with experience or knowledge or remember how they treated a cover teacher will know how hard the job is but the ethos and respect from the students to the teachers in this school was incredible.

My experience at this school was very good. I had an amazing time there and the education is great, especially in maths, tech and science. English could be upgraded, though.
I would definitely send my child here.

The school not so bad but headteacher is a self-centred moron who would put the lives of students st risk during severe weather conditions so SHE can look good. Facts.

the palmer Catholic Academy also has a sixth form btw it has had lots of headmasters over the years. Also the medical system is pretty good
especially for children if you hurt your head they call your parents and ask for their consent to let the children leave school rather then give you 'magic water' (from the awful Mayfield school) and not call your parent to ask to pick you up but they don't check so children can easily leave the school if they want. Sadly people use there phones so much they won’t allow you to use it in playground also the bathrooms are very dirty -by a friend of mine

The school, is not an amazing place to be at, the stealing, bullying, and even scamming is awful and makes It very unsafe, what do the teachers do? nothing! Literally nothing. They will give a detention or two but nothing else, kids get in trouble multiple times but minor consequences follow. Student council asked multiple times for halal food, they got ignored, like, its not that hard to get halal food, if other schools can why can’t this school. The Year 9 area is also god-awful as their canteen area has no roof, therefore need to eat in the rain most of the time due to the British weather and are not allowed inside. Please fix this school.
