Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this school. Especially to those families who have children with educational needs or any other difficulties such as anxiety. Without getting into too much detail, here is a short summary of what you need to know. This review comes from a mother who has had no other option but to remove her child with immediate affect.

-Poor teaching

-Poor communication

-Poor parental involvement

-Extremely poor antibullying policies, measures. Please do not be fooled by their proposed antibullying scheme. A child has been bullied in front of teachers, abused, physically beaten up by bullys inside and outdide of school grounds. Head of year, ignored everything, after numerous visits, meetings, phone calls... The principle and vice principle had no knowledge as nothing was recorded. After being promised and after TWO visits from the POLICE the school STILL DID NOT do anything. children are left to suffer within the hands of the bullies.

-Extremely poor support for children who are in need of extra learning support.

-Lessons lack enthusiasm and teachers involvement in children's learning is poor

-Some Parents of children who attend the school are inconsiderate and unbelievable. A child was getting bullied right infront of the school gates after school, the child was being kicked, punched, jumped on, pushed to the trees, hit on the head and parent's just walked passed NO ONE HELPED this innocent young child crying for help! Only one lady stepped in after being so emotionally upset and called the police and teacher- why is there no teacher's outside the gates before school and after school?

-EXTREMELY POOR SAFEGUARDING so please please becareful if you decide to take your child here. Principle has no knowledge of what is happening. Teachers ignore students plea for help, students get hit and punched right infront of teachers who ignore it. Head of year does not communicate or record any meetings or visits from worried parents whos children are being mentally and physically abused and bullied. Absolutely ZERO multi agency working both inside the school and outside.

- Students are rude, impolite and have no respect. During the fight as mentioned above, the ONE MUM, ONLY PARENT who stepped in to help the child from being killed, was attacked verbally by the students and swore at. The Students all gathered and witnessed the fight, shouting out 'go on hit him, hit him' cheering on the bully.

-Lack of home learning

-Students not challenged enough

-English, maths and science is of poor teaching

-Poor teaching about the community, world around them and readiness for their next step

-Children on free school meals at times have been left hungry because of errors on systems about lunch money on their tokens. Staff not caring about this and leaving these children without a lunch all day.

I could further get into detail, but in summary I would with all my heart and soul avoid this school. If you care for your child's safety, learning & education and future please check alternative options. These are coming from a mother who has had to see her child bruised? abused, mentally broken and giving statements to police.

I write this with all my sympathy and honesty and as an inspector for education and schools, this school has a poor antibullying scheme, Poor parental involvement, poor complaints policy and dealings, and very poor understanding of the needs of their students and parent's. If any inspectors are reading this review and are planning future inspections to this school please take note of the above. I also see some reviews from students themselves who go to the school which is showing negative.

If the school is reading this review, you should be ashamed of everything that has happened. You should apologise to the parents of these students who are left to be bullied and abused with physically marks on their bodies! shame on your safeguarding. It is no good saying anti bullying on your website and having TONS of safeguarding policies which clearly you dont adhere to. You have failed!

My brother faced bullying for 1.5 years the head of year did not even take it the principle! When my brother psychical got hurt abh one of the members of the public saved him and took him in to school then the principle found out! Police has got involved but clearly discrimination as my brother suffers from autism ! We had so many meetings and the principle wasn't informed after a week my brother got attacked again in school at lunch time when we was promised that staff will observe him!! The other kids did not even get excluded !! London borough of Bromley should take control ASAP! We are taking the child out of the school as his psychology is gone !!!!!! Where is education services!!!!!! Attention ASAP

This school gets a bad rap from a lot of people on here so I thought I should say that my time there was brilliant and I honestly wouldn't want to swap my secondary education for any other local school.

Most of the people in my year were nice enough and I had a good and supportive group of friends.

Teachers were amazing and helped me in everyway they could in the lead up to my GCSEs (even though I was a pretty annoying child before year 10).

Mr Harvey (English), Mr Snook (geography), Mr Duncan and Ms Roche (maths), and Ms Donagan (physics) were some of the best teachers I could have hoped for and are a big part in why I did ad well as I did and where I am now. Also, Sally Haslan is a lad.

I would highly recommend this school to any child with ambition and prospects to achieve in life, as Coopers will help develop you as a person and assist you in getting the best grades you can get.

I am sad to see the worst review on here and feel so sad that the child in question was subjected to horrific abuse.
There are so many other schools that are worse and have not safeguarded children.
I removed my son from a school that didn't safeguard or seem to care.
Since my son has been at Cooper's School I have seen a great improvement in his learning, progress, emotional and physical health.
