Beautiful food in a beautiful setting. Mussels are the best I've had. Seafood platters are a nice mix of seafood and salmon. Not much for non seafood lovers except sandwiches. A few tables are under cover.

We stopped off at one of our favorite places and we were not disappointed. Obviously their speciality is seafood, hence the name, and they do not disappoint. Our 8 year old loves their kippers and my wife loved the salmon platter. Top place to visit, ample parking and fantastic views. Staff were welcoming and friendly and service was pretty quick. The smell of the seafood being cooked from the cabin wafted across the seating area, we will be back again when we head to this part of the country.

The food is fresh and Sophie makes the most amazing liquor to go with the mussels. Delightful and friendly staff. I had the seafood Platter.

The best Smoked salmon I've ever had.... this is such a relaxed place to eat some of the finest seafood you'll ever eat.

Now, I'm not sure if I'm reviewing the castle - which is great ... and free !! Or the seafood cabin .. which is quirky .. popular .. and a tad expensive (for us, anyway, may not be for other folk). We just had a coffee, there were several tables taken, sun shining, beautiful.
The castle, which was our main quest of the day - loved it. Really only the outside walls, and a few rooms left to explore. Stairs, and roof walk which had stunning views. We parked outside the main gates, as instructed, about a 10 min walk to the castle, however, if there were mobility issues for someone you could definitely drive right up to the seafood cabin carpark, have a cuppa, and a walk round the castle. Also an old ruined chapel close by.

Absolute gem!!! Soo soo good! Got the seafood platter, coffee and a tea! Unreal! The coffee was good old fasion pot/filter coffee, no airs and graces, just good strong coffee!
The seafood platter was a game changer! Mussels were the best we've ever had! The sauce was amazing, eat it like soup after we finished the mussels! Loads of white crab, LOADS of salmon (a few different types), some sort of curried brown crab (we think) was really good!
All in all, DEFINITELY worth a visit!!!

A brilliant seafood ‘restaurant’ in a rural and spectacular setting. What Started out as a trailer food bar, now a cabin with open and covered seating, on the edge of Loch Fyne. The restaurant is next to Skipness Castle and looks across to the northern end of Arran. Staff were friendly, and the food was delicious. A great experience, and very chilled. Could have sat there all afternoon! Thoroughly recommended!
