We come to see Helen 3 times a year as I bring my disabled partner to physio .

Nothing is too much trouble she is lovely .

The place we stay in is very good in fact I think brilliant .

Its Is so peaceful and scenic both me and my partner love coming here .

What Helen has done and achieved to make holiday homes that are for able and disabled people is incredible.

She is an inspiration to us all and we are lucky to of met her .

These cottages are a gem. Tucked away in the country, yet a short drive from Hertford and easy access to London. Self contained units and wheelchair adapted, there is everything on hand for a comfortable stay. Helen and Michael are friendly and welcoming and make your stay easy and hassle-free. Loads of dog walking tracks right outside the door so even your furry family can have fun.

A surprising rural sanctuary close to London, just outside the county town of Hertford. Together with my 11 year old son, I spent 7 peaceful nights here after our long journey from New Zealand, disturbed only by the coo of pigeons, the chatter of squirrels and the quiet murmur of horses and riders, enjoying the English summer and the Hertfordshire countryside. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you Helen!

Absolutely superb cottages with great facilities. Clean and fresh with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Dog friendly in a beautiful countryside setting. Safe and secure parking. We will definitely stay again.

The cottage was very warm and cosy on a really cold day, welcoming and comfortable, with everything you need.

Excellent gated access and parking, quiet and secluded yet within easy reach of Hertford centre. Plenty to do in the area. Next time we can visit we plan to go to Hatfield House.

So glad we chose to stay here - I was just looking for a convenient place close to family after lockdown lifted, but these cottages turned out to be ideal in other ways. The beds are very comfortable (always my number one criteria), with good heating and kitted out well for disabled access if this applies to you. It’s a lovely setting - easy to go for countryside walks, and my kids enjoyed being close to the horses and watching the birds outside the door. Thanks Michael and Helen for a welcoming stay.

Petasfield has been a home from home for us since 2012. We've visited during each season and always look forward to seeing Helen & Michael who are the perfect hosts. Warm, comfortable and well equipped, we'll be visiting for many years to come, the perfect location for nature lovers.

A great holiday place with adapted holiday cottages suitable for wheelchair users with ceiling hoists. Helen and Micheal are great hosts and there when you you need them. Tha horses are an added bonus.
