Danby Lodge - Forest of Dean

Lovely big house with beautiful views, nice grounds and out door swimming pool. A friend hired it out for her 40th birthday bash and we had a great time

great walks. would go again.

A stunning house in a location that is simply magical. I felt relaxed the moment I stepped out of the car. The house has been lovingly restored and the secluded grounds and surrounding forest make for a timeless experience. I can’t wait to go back

Amazing house in the forest of dean with a fantastic location and some stunning views. Danby Lodge is well worth a visit.

Only visited family who were staying there for a wedding. What were really impressed with the house, grounds and outstanding views from the garden.

Enjoyed a great weekend everything was brilliant. Cosy log fire, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed linen, bath as well as showers, wood panelled family\TV room, outdoor swimming pool in beautiful remote setting.

It was a lovely place amongst the woods. They had a good heated pool and provided us with mountain bikes to explore the trails around. The nature was serene and it was a blissful experience. The only thing that interrupted was the WiFi which stopped working on the last 2 days and the heating stopped working because everything was connected to the WiFi. Other than that everything was beautiful and peaceful.

Amazing place to be, works out good value for a special experience when there's a group of you. Sized well with plenty of sleeping and hosting options. An old lodge, but clean and modernised nicely where appropriate.
