Anns Hill Holiday Cottages

Stayed here for our honeymoon, it was amazing. Vanessa delivered a delicious continental breakfast every morning, with fresh pastries, yogurt, jam... she even let us go visit the farm with our little one. The cottage is luxurious and high end. Loved it. Keep in mind though, Cockermouth is a drive away.

My husband and I just got married and stayed in this stunning cottage. The cottage itself was immaculately clean and inviting; with a beautiful scenery from every window, of the cottage, luxurious bathroom to relax in, and a sensual bedroom to sleep in, was a real treat. Vanessa made our stay very personal, she kept in communication via text to ensure we were not in need of anything, yet respected our personal space.

Breakfast was also nice, with homemade cakes and muffins, freshly made yogurt, even catering for my dairy free dietary requirements.
There is a local town, lakes near by, a wild life centre and many more attractions; all a bonus to our week away.
We would definitely recommend you staying at this cottage. Despite checkout being a little too early for me, I would still love to come back.Worth every penny!

Stayed at the Lodge for the second time and it was amazing. The Lodge is in a lovely location close to lakes, the Wildlife Park and other attractions. The Lodge itself is immaculate, and to an exceptionally high standard. It has everything you need. Vanessa was fantastic and left us to our own devices but was on hand if we needed anything. We genuinely can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend to our friends and family

Great cottage, very spacious, not your average! Vanessa and the staff were great, always available if needed. The cottage itself is a 16th century building, nestled next to a nursery barn for the baby cows (amazing). It has all the modern luxuries which add to the overall ambience and make it cosy. We had a private parking space right in front of our door which was convenient. As it’s approaching Christmas we were treated to a festive decorated cottage with a huge real Christmas tree near the fire, which was marvellous. My other half enjoyed gathering the wood from the outhouse next door to put on the fire. We enjoyed staying in and cooking on the range, as the kitchen is fully equipped. In terms of location it’s very easy to drive into cockermouth which is less than 5 minutes away. We drove in to Keswick which took around 20-25 minutes, and on the way back home we stopped off in Grasmere which is around 45 minutes away, as it was recommended by some locals. All in all, a fabulous little getaway. Would highly recommend Ann’s hill lodgings.

Loved our stay at the cottage wished we could have stayed longer. Vanessa was so helpful and kept in touch incase we needed anything and even made us a cake! Everything about the cottage is stunning. We had everything we needed and more plus it is in a pefect location to explore the lakes. Hope to return soon !

Loved our stay here. A very cosy tasteful lodge in an ideal location with stunning views. Theres a village very nearby and lots of places to see. Loved cooking here, the hot tub, the log fire ( dvds and board games available as well as Netflix) and Vanessa stocked it with fresh cake and croissants, berries, melon, chocolates and wine!

The bed was super comfy and theres an extra sofa bed too. The kitchen was complete and has a dishwasher/fridge/freezer and even a hand mixer, bread maker and french press for coffee. Will be back..

The lodge with hot tub is with out doubt the most beautiful place we have ever stayed.
2,bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2,sitting rooms, a huge kitchen, hot tub, champagne in the fridge, completely private, and quiet, just wonderful

Have a short stay between Christmas and New year's and couldn't be happier the cottage is amazing, it has a log burner, well stocked kitchen with anything you might need and the bathroom is stunning. It also has a smart TV. Located in a central position only a short trip to most of the lakes. Would highly recommend these guys our stay was perfect.
