Lovely place, right on the doorstep of the lake for strolls etc. A short 12 minute walk to the town centre too. We were in the Hayloft room, we'll appointed, modern and comfy with a fridge, kettle, sink and crockery for the odd snack. Great walk in shower. Being close to the road and up stairs there was a little road noise at night but not enough to spoil things. Lovely host took care of us too.

Lovely hosts, cute room (with microwave, kettle, fridge, toaster, etc), comfy bed and a nice big shower. Really good value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to go back and would happily recommend to friends and family.

Loved the apartment. Kitchen well equipped. Nice bed linen and towels. Lots of extras, nice coffee and milk. Good parking. Games and puzzles provided. Only negatives - could hear road noise at night and early morn, and slight fishy smell from store room below us. Would use again.

Didn't stay here but have known the owner for many years.he makes the finest pork pies known to man.made from a recipe from yesteryear and my childhood.worth a visit just for these but I know that the accommodation is spoken of highly.perfect location and a nice little town.30p per hour parking in Ellesmere.bargain

Brilliant x the owners were lovely x always around so if you needed anything or suggesting places that you could visit which was dog 🐕 friendly x they do allow dogs 🐕 which for us is a good thing x we stopped in a apartment and it was lovely x the kitchen had everything you would need and more they even provided a pint of milk with teas and coffee x what I loved about it was the fact you could do what you want and be left alone x you could come and go as you please x the town is about a 3min drive 🚗 or a 10 min walk away x if you want a break away stay there x we would go again x

The Shippon is delightfully spacious, tranquil and homely, with all the basic requirements and more. The location is perfect, as are Rodney’s homemade pork pies. Highly recommended.

Lovely place to stay. Good location, very clean and well equipped accomodation. We had a very enjoyable stay.
