An unbelievably wonderful holiday cottage. Set in a quiet country village and surrounded by fields, you can't go wrong with the barns here if you're looking for a quiet retreat. We were greeted with a warm and helpful welcome and we knew the owners would help with anything we needed. The barn itself has all the facilities you'd need, including a lot burner which is super nice, and a Jacuzzi bath. Fantastic.

A lovely peaceful cottage in a beautiful part of Derbyshire. Has everything you need and expect plus more. The iPad was a really nice touch. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is the "quirky " bathroom. The Whirlpool bath is a bit tricky getting in and out and we found that the hot water ran out about too quickly. Oh, the beams also meant getting to and from the right side of the bed was a memory test in the dark - you need to duck at the right times. So, if you have any sort of movement issues it's probably not the place for you. But would I go back? Yes.

Great place to stay for all the walking and cycling trails, Bakewell, Buxton, and Asbourne are all in striking distance. Parwich is a delight a classic Derbyshire village. Douglas barn, well what can I say, if I had a second home this would be it.....9/10.....
