We had a great stay at Lattice Lodge. Martin was really accommodating with check-in, as we traveled on a really bad weather day, so our check in time was unpredictable, but this was no trouble. Lattice lodge is really well equipped, spotlessly clean and everything we needed for our stay. Also, having Sainsburys directly opposite is ideal to top up food/drink and you're only a short drive from restaurants/beach.

Our room was a decent size and provided everything we needed for a two night stay. The apartments and the communal areas are tastefully decorated and the modern kitchen is superbly equipped so you could easily make your own cooking and eating arrangements. Parking was easy and there are shops, restaurants and pubs within easy walking distance. We highly recommend Toothbrush Apartments for a short or long term stay in Ipswich.

A very comfortable, well equipped, clean ensuite room - including Freeview t.v., WiFi, and a fan. Easily comparable to a good hotel room.

Well equipped self catering kitchen with separate dining room, lounge and garden area. Choice of delivery from local takeaways.

Booking managed very efficiently on line with regular messaging confirming choices.

Recommended and I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent standard accommodation. Self catering facilities great for those with special dietary needs. Local Sainsbury's.

Overall the place is fine - no surprises. What you see is what you get. Convenient for a group or family gathering where everyone in the group would like to stay in one single place. The kitchen is well kitted out. The bathroom in the room we stayed in was a bit small and awkward, with not the best shower. But overall the place was fine, and the host was extremely accommodating and very responsive.

Clean, well thought out, very well equipped. Having microwave and fridge in my room, as well as use of fully equipped kitchen downstairs, meant that I could save money by preparing my own meals and gave me the flexibility that I needed. Martin was very helpful, particularly with my bookings at short notice over the Christmas period. Would highly recommend.

My family booked the whole house except for two rooms. I could only confirm my attendance closer to the date as I had work commitments.

I wanted to book for one night only but Martin said that wasn’t possible and I was to pay for three nights. I paid him separate to the main booking.

I arrived on day 2 and left my belongings in my room and joined my family on a day trip out. Arriving later I felt I couldn’t stay in that room, due to the dust, musty smell and stains on the bed covering.

I ate supper with my family and decided to leave as I couldn’t stay there the night.

We asked Martin that since we did not make use of that room was it possible to receive a refund which he declined.

I do not recommend staying there and find Martin to be quite rude and judgmental.

It is clear that the owner is not open to any criticism and will do anything in order to make money, including acting in an unethical manner.

Firstly, the cleanliness of the house was absolutely appalling. In fact, appalling is an understatement. There were stains on the bedsheets, and on the toilet seat of the room that I had stayed in. Thick dust covered the picture frames, as well as the fact that there were cobwebs in the corners of multiple rooms. This was extremely unpleasant. Martin will say “why didn’t we raise this as an issue?” But how are we supposed to when his response to any sort of criticism is very child-like? On top of that, we are not the type of family to make petty complaints, unlike the owner of this place.

We have stayed in a number of previous cottages, and have been doing so for years. This place, by far, has been our worst experience. We have never come across such a petty owner, who charges us based on the smallest issues; issues that have been fabricated or just petty (such as charging us because CHILDREN had put lego in the wrong boxes). What an actual joke.

Looking forward to read a lovely copy and pasted response from the owner. The truth hurts Martin. Your place is disgusting and you should invest in a cleaning team. Stop being such a cheapskate.
