Absolutely stunning place! Amazing trails down by the river gorge as well. Definitely recommend a stay here.

What an amazing place! Balintore Cottage is in such a lovely setting and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Our kids (5yrs and 2yrs) had a fantastic time running around the large grass area which goes all around the cottage while we managed to get a few minutes to sit still on the bench and look out over the field. Then just past this area there are paths in both directions to amazing woodland walks where you can stay on the path (wellies and waterproofs if it’s wet!) or explore into the forest - our kids loved looking around and finding things in the forest to play with and climb on. There are no visible neighbours so we felt comfortable that we weren’t disturbing anyone when the kids were running around. We didn’t see any animals as they were probably scared off by our noise but when the kids were (occasionally) quiet, we heard lots of birds so I’m sure you would see more if it’s just adults visiting! We were told about the squash court and other things that we could have used very close by but we had too much fun exploring the forest to get around to doing anything else! Inside the cottage was so cosy and well set out. We loved using the wood burner after being out in the forest all day. And then the bed downstairs (either king or super king) was so comfy and cosy. The kids just loved being up in their bedroom playing in their own little space and the beds were perfect for them. The kitchen was really well equipped so it was really easy to cook a proper meal! The whole trip was fantastic and we had a little car trouble which Alex was so helpful with and really saved us! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we hope to have the chance to come back to visit soon!

Absolutely stunning, a fantastic stay at the Glenfurness Estate! Very comfortable cottage, would highly recommend a stay here. Beautiful location and fabulous fishing. What a treat.....

We had absolutely amazing time here! The place is beautiful, peaceful. We had everything we needed and more! Thank you our kind host for being so welcoming! Highly recommended to anyone who needs rest close to nature ☺️

Such a great location. My first time in Scotland since I was about 8yrs old. Cottage was perfect for us, quiet and spacious. Fishing was superb. Pure class.

Large spacious, yet cosy. Fire in lounge is very efficient and lots provided. Decent beds and beading & bath sheets and hand towel per person. Clean, period features all over, 2 massive baths and sleek modern shower room. Walks are amazing. The Lady and her son were very welcoming and informative. We never needed to ask for anything as it was all there. Exceded expectations, thank you.. Plenty of space for the 7 of us and 2 dogs 💖💖
