Excellent accommodation spacious well equipped and homely stayed for 2 nights last year for a family trip and we all throughly enjoyed it,location is great for exploring the island .. highly recommend.

I'll try and write an honest review but before I go any further. Would I recommend this property? Yes most definitely, we travelled as a party of 8 and it was an ideal property.
This place is like the Tardis, after our initial panic from the approach to what looked like a tiny property, the rooms just keep going on and on, it's amazing how the owner has extended the property. The rear garden is enclosed and ideal if you have children/pets. All rooms are well appointed and the kitchen is equipped with pretty much everything you require. The house is lovely and warm and bathroom facilities are to a decent standard.
Location is fantastic and is an ideal base no matter what time of year.
Onto the negatives, unfortunately when we arrived the boiler had stopped working, this can happen and full credit to the owner, after getting us to check a few things he arranged for an engineer who was promptly out and sorted the problem in approx 90mins. Perhaps one suggestion would be to fit a newer boiler particularly on a house that has been so extensively renovated as it was obvious the boiler was getting on in age. Expensive I know but if other people also experience issues in future it might be worth the investment.
Now onto a few other things which I don't blame the owner for, upon arrival the bins on driveway were overflowing with black bags also piled high with rubbish, one section of the kitchen bin in the carousel was also still full of rubbish, including an unbagged dirty nappy from the previous occupants (scruffs!).
Also on the 2nd day we decided to have a quick flit around with the hoover, the smell of which can only be described as horrific, think dog/sweaty feet/stilton, on inspection it was full to the brim with hair and dirt. We emptied the hoover, despite which, when hoovering on leaving this morning the smell was still horrendous and causing us all to gag. On that basis, and also seeing the amount of dirt hoovered up after we emptied the hoover, if I was the owner I would honestly question whether his cleaning team are providing the service he is no doubt paying for.
Also, upon arrival there was a note to say dishwasher not working, I managed to reset dishwasher and we informed the owner, however, despite it draining it would not begin the wash cycle so we had to resort to manual washing over the 3 days which was a right pain with 8 people. To be fair we should have phoned the owner back to say it was indeed still broke and I'm sure he would have sent somebody to fix.
Finally, to get back onto the positives, great large property for a couple of families in a great location and the owner extremely helpful if needed. I would strongly advise owner to bring in a different cleaning team in order to maintain the high review score the property deserves if it was serviced properly.
All in all, highly recommend with a few caveats above.
