Stayed in Emily Rose, the shepherds hut, top class facilities. Great nights sleep, opened the doors and let the beautiful Welsh countryside in, what a retreat. Great host great getaway, going back soon.

The shepherds hut was really clean and and a beautiful location. The amenities were all there and the space felt nice and big and my partner and I did not feel cramped at all. And Nicola was really accommodating and offered us good tips on what to do in the area and was just generally lovely!

We stayed in this cosy, little home from home back in February. Views AMAZING, cottage PERFECT, hosted by the very lovely Nicola. The cottage itself had literally everything you could wish for and it was wonderful to have use of the log burner for cosy afternoons and evenings, with a glass of wine and a book or jigsaw. We visited nearby National Trust Bodnant Gardens which were stunning and full of inspiration, even at that time of year. Also had a brisk walk on the breath taking Snowdon and visited the beautiful little town of .Betws-y-Coed and Conwy. Came away feeling very relaxed and as though we had been to another land entirely. Would highly recommend!

Liked: Nicola was very welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. The gypsy caravan was beautiful and such a different experience. Beautiful setting and so peaceful. Would definitely stay again!

Liked: We had a wonderful stay, Nicola was a fantastic host, friendly and very helpful. She provided us with lots of information on things to do and recommendations for pubs/restaurants near by which was great. The shepherds hut is very pretty and surrounded by beautiful gardens, it was immaculate and had everything we needed. The compostable toilet is a great addition and just a short walk away is the shower block which was very clean and well stocked. Thank you Nicola for a fab stay, we’ll definitely be back!

Liked: The wagon was absolutely beautifully painted and designed and Nicola was incredibly thoughtful with the available amenities - running water and electricity just outside. Toilet/shower facilities were clean, and not the anticipated camping showers/chemical toilet which was a lovely surprise - though the shower was cold this didn’t bother me much personally in the slightest. Firewood and firepit included with the option to purchase more as needed, outdoor seating options with a small table between. Portable lighting and solar lighting available. Plenty of privacy but close enough to other accommodation that you don’t feel too secluded. Area and surroundings are beautiful but it is worth noting that the closest shop or anything is a 45 min+ walk away with incredibly steep hills there & back, so make sure to drive out for any nice local hikes or to see the town - or you may not feel too great the next day! Laundry and cleaning facilities made available with no problem, local recommendations shared & a lovely guide in the cabin including details of the cabin history. All in all a beautiful stay and would return in a heartbeat - perhaps trying one of the other lodgings! See you soon :)

Amazing little place in north Wales with breathtaking views very clean and well run. The owner was just as good as the view breathtaking. Also brought some eggs from the free range chickens. Can’t fault this place for a relaxing stay.

Liked: Absolutely everything.
We stayed in Finch which is the traditional gypsy caravan. It's quaint, beautifully redone and more spacious than you first imagine.
The toilet and shower facilities are a 2 minute walk across the gardens, here you also find kettle & toaster etc.
We ordered the BBQ package and 2 breakfast packages for our 3 night stay and the food was amazing, local, fresh and really high quality. Breakfast packages were so huge we had enough for hiking lunches. There are BBQs on site plus the fire pit for use without additional charge but we'd brought our camping stove.

On site is also the old bakery/barn where you can buy firewood, jams, eggs and apples, I really recommend you grab a jam, they do come in the breakfast boxes but it's the most delicious extra fruity jam I've had in years.

Nicola was away for our visit but contactable via phone (we got a little lost on our way up the hill, totally our own fault as the instructions were clear, we just got carried away by scenery and walk planning. Nicola's Mum, Rosemary was on site and very helpful, she gave us a tour of where everything was and checked in daily when she saw us out and about.

I'm sure there were people in the rental cottage but the nature and layout of the site are such that you felt like you were there alone. No car noise, the occasional farm sound, just nature and peace.

Locally there is so much to do, the walk over to the Dinorban Arms is a great one, there's lots of little hikes and larger ones on the doorstep or less than 20 minutes away. It is possible to get a taxi, costs include the coming out fee but we found that really reasonable (hike down to Dinorban & taxi back after a couple of pints!) Or, just sit and enjoy the scenery, especially the stars!!

All said I cannot wait to revisit this site, it's out of this world amazing.

Disliked: Nothing at all! Not booking for longer maybe
