Really helpful staff, good security and nothing is too much trouble. Very quick and easy to set up and use throughout the rental. I would definitely recommend the team at Safestore Cardiff - everything done with a smile too!

Mike at Safestore, Newport Road was very friendly, always helpful to find the best space and gave me the maximum discount .
He kindly helped getting large palettes into the storage room using his forklift at no extra cost and I was impressed and grateful.
Thanks Mike and Safestore..

After I paid 3 years for my items to be stored and they keep increasing fees. They refused to receive my parcel after one day of leaving them and my parcel has lost. Also prices are unreasonable. Also when I want to leave they let me pay £150 as I need to give 2 weeks notice. Not recommend at all.

The staff were consistently, incredibly helpful throughout the few months I had my items on storage. They offered packaged advice, removal advice, collection advice, and so much more to a student moving abroad. Would definitely recommend this service to anyone in need of a storage unit.

We moved our furniture from abroad and needed somewhere safe to store it. We received excellent service ( prompt emails, telephone calls, help with paperwork etc) from start to finish with Safestore and I would highly recommend them to anyone else. It is great to find a company who puts the customer first! Thank you

I viewed a number of storage facilities and the one that stood out was Safestore on Newport Road. This was completely down to April who works there. She's friendly and nothing was too much trouble - I had a number of questions which she answered in full and gave me complete confidence. She is a real asset to the company.

I'm going to write this review for anyone who is completely new to putting things into storage, and what the exact process with Safestore was like. To sum up for those who don't need to read the process - they are very good! Friendly, know their stuff, easy to use.

I was preparing for a house move, and knew that I would need to store some things long term. I knew that self storage options were available in Cardiff, but other than that I knew nothing about the process.

I chose Safestore because a google search said that they were one of the three highest rated storage services in Cardiff, and then through a further google search I found loads of Safestore YouTube videos which really helped me to understand what size unit I would need.

The form I filled out on their website was easy to understand - mainly details such when I wanted to move things and what size I would need. After submitting the online form a customer service rep would call to double check what I would be looking to store, and for how long, so that they could assess whether I had chosen the right sized unit.

In the UK contents in storage has to be insured, so they also talked me through how much cover I would need. The insurance coverage is linked into the quote.

I was given my quote for 12 months of storage, and when I agreed I filled out a new customer form. I wasn't sure whether to put the address I was going to move into or the one I was currently living at. I chose my new address, but when it turned out I would have to submit ID including a recent address, I was worried as all my ID/Letters were in my old address. When I asked them about this they said it was very common and not an issue.

I had to amend my 'move in' date by one day as well. Initially I wasn't going to bother, but they very kindly said I should start my contract with them on the same day I move things in so that I don't get charged any days I'm not using it.

My 1st payment was more than my monthly quote should have been and when I questioned this it was because I also had to buy a lock for my unit. This was not an issue, their lock is great, I mention this to save you all panic later.

I went in the day before my move in date to fill in the new customer form (as it was only available in a PDF format which I couldn't edit and I needed to make changes), having already submitted my ID (bank statements with address, photographic ID, recent head and shoulders photo too). I picked up my lock, keys and door fob, and they showed me my unit, where the loading bays were, and how to use their trolleys.

Direct debit payments are every four weeks, which can be a bit of an annoyance budget wise compared to a monthly payment, but I was really pleased on the whole.

Every member of staff was tremendous, from those I emailed or spoke to on the phone, or who I met in person. Heath was especially nice!

Amazing service after a particularly stressful moving event that spanned two days. Very understanding, and friendly experience that was topped off with the accommodation of a last minute change that mad an otherwise stress induced process bearable.

Would hight recommend as the icing on the cake was the offer(s) made available.
