My partner and I had a lovely stay in the Skyline Plaza. The apartment was spacious, very clean and super cosy. Our whole experience - the booking, our arrival, our stay & our departure was a breeze. Friendly and co-operative staff made our trip a delight. I will definitely recommend Linx Apartments in the future.

Dear All, I would like to share my unpleasant experience with this company. I booked an apartment with Linx which was a 2 bedroom Apartment in the Heron House Complex of Reading.

The apartment was fantastic and exceeded all expectations. The individual who was the point of contact during the booking process and the remainder of the stay was called Anne. A very pleasant and professional person to deal with.

The cost for 8 days was £800 plus a further £200 "security deposit". The apartment was used for a total of 4 days by my friend, my brother, my brothers girlfriend and myself.

We checked out on the final day and was not met by any representative to view the condition of the apartment on departure. Instead I was told to leave one set of keys along with parking permits on the kitchen worktop and post the second set in the letter box and be on my way.

I was told I would receive my £200 security deposit immediately upon departure, this DID NOT happen. I queried the next day and was told I would receive it back into my account.

This did not happen either. Infact, the events that followed were amusingly ridiculous. I was sent an email containing pictures from Anne accusing myself and the occupants of purposefuly opening up the washing machine appliance. We then allegedly opened up a drain pipe and proceeded to stuff if full of red fibres, cotton or other forms of wadding. I asked her what someones intention would be to do this? To which she replied, "to cause INTENTIONAL damage to the appliance". I fail to understand why I would do such a thing as I had no malice or any form of grievance towards the company.

Anyway, Anne/Linx has taken my £200 deposit to pay for new bedding that was ruined and the cost of a new part of drain pipe and to cover the costs of a 2 hour visit to fix the alleged issue.

My guests, nor myself ever used the washing machine and I am also confused about how 2 sets of bedding appeared in the washing machine.

I am sorry for the length, but I can only assume this is a common tactic this conpany uses to swindle a further £200 from its guests on top of the apartment cost. Pure greed and I hope this does not happen to anyone else. Im still waiting for Anne to contact me. I called her at 14:05 and she said she was completing a check in and would call back in 40 minutes. 4 hours later still no call back or the decency of a reply to my email.

Apartment, excellent. Location, excellent. Service, DREADFUL, DISHONEST, GREEDY AND DOWNRIGHT ROBBERY.

Apologies for the length. Please if you do stay here, MAKE SURE you meet some upon check out and go through EVERYTHING in the apartment on departure to save you being conned out of your deposit too. Im sure im not the first this has happened too.

Good luck,
Michael
