We’ve stayed twice at the apartments in Ziggurat House, St Albans. On both occasions the apartment has been perfectly set up for our needs as a family of five. It’s spacious, modern, finished to a high standard and clean. It is well located close to the city centre and station. The team are really quick to finalise the bookings and make sure our needs are understood. With family in the area, this is the first place we go to check availability as it is so convenient for our visits. Thank you.

Flat 99:

Positiv: Location, excellent communication with the landlord (very sympathic, super responsive), good value for money, good equipment and all very modern. I would give it even 6 stars.

Negative: it so incredibly loud once you open the windows. The railtracks are literally a stone's-throw away. So if you sleep there in summer and want to get some fresh air during the night or day, it will drive you mad. In average probably 2 trains per minute. The windows are double glased, so once closed you don't hear the trains really.
Also: Could have been cleaner once we moved in. It took us 1 hour to clean it to our standard.

I am writing this as feedback on the apartment we booked.
Our experience with the booking was extremely disappointing. We booked a flat with Heliodoor. We were a family of four visiting London all the way from the US. We reached there to a very messy and dirty room after 15 hours of travel and with an exhausted family. The room was clearly not cleaned after the previous booking. The bed sheets were all over the place, there were spoiled food in the fridge, garbage bag on the entrance, toilets very dirty and not disinfected. It was very disappointing.
After speaking with customer service, they offered to give us another room and restaurant vouchers but the other room was also with the same status. Then they offered to send cleaners to clean the first room while we wait. Keeping in mind, that cleaning such apartment appropriately should take few hours. After waiting for 2 hours with a very tired family and kids, three cleaners came in without proper cleaning equipment and without cleaned bed sheets. They seemed to have wanted to reuse the same old used bedsheets!! Quite shocking, we directly decided to cancel the booking and we were issued a full refund.
We then were in the middle of nowhere, trying to find a nearby place that can accommodate the whole family and the dates. We thankfully found a hotel in town.
Some serious adjustments to the cleaning and management process of this place need to be considered. Highly unrecommended, pictures might look nice but its just not right! I suggest for anyone booking with them to take your own bedsheets with you.

Leah came to our rescue when we were let down by other accommodation. She was very helpful. The apartment was fantastic. We are 4 ladies (old school chums) and this was perfect for our needs. Clean and roomy, within walking distance of the lovely city of St Albans. Would highly recommend this apartment (88) to others.
