Clarks

I've purchased footwear from Clarks over many years, for myself, my children and also my grandchildren. Generally, I find that they're well made and fit well.
Collected the boots I'd ordered online from the store today. Pleasant staff who were very helpful ensuring that they fit properly and were comfortable. Extra bonus...I got discount!

Bought my children's school shoes from here and they seem like great quality shoes. Customer service was excellent, Rebecca (who served us) really couldnt do enough for us. Very friendly and helpful, would highly recommend shopping here!

Excellent customer service!! Went in for dress shoes and had no idea what I was looking for, Sadia was very helpful and helped me pick out some great shoes!! Will go there again next time I need something!!!

Really disappointed with our shopping experience today at Clarks Shoes in Newcastle under Lyme. The fitter was visibly frustrated because my daughter kept saying shoes felt uncomfy and said they fitted fine and there was no reason they would be uncomfy, so to pick the best ones. We eventually managed to find a pair which fit her and she felt comfortable in, but I felt it was very unprofessional to try and persuade my 7 year old to have a pair of shoes she will wear a lot that she felt uncomfortable in!

Terrible shoe fitting service. Both measured smaller than shoes they are currently wearing and said shoes were fine even though they have high instep and even I could tell shoes were digging in at front which they didn't check. Had bad experience with clarks fitting previously and obviously nothing changed. No check made on instep and even though children Said the shoes hurt the fitter said they were fine. Soley shoes and brassingtons in Hanley are far superior in shoe fitting and go by the feel of the shoe and the child's foot rather than the foot guage

Went for first shoes for my little boy. The experience is not what it used to be. Young inexperienced staff that unfortunately I guess don't understand the milestone of buying first shoes. Very underwhelming.

I have used Clark's for over 10 years with my own children and I have worn them throughout my 30 years and I've always been happy with the staff and measuring service. However the staff at NUL Clark's have changed my view. Two staff members were rude, paid no attention to the children they were measuring. A simple well done or a smile whilst talking to them would be enough but it was literally sit down and grab their feet with no explanation to a little girl who was having her feet measured for the first time and sitting so patiently. The gentleman walking around seemingly supervising the store was scratching his nether regions as he walked around and the older lady was just downright rude and miserable with a 1 year old. Telling her instructions abruptly and expecting her to understand then snapping at me when I said she can't understand shes one. Maybe it was an off day but for my children it wasn't an experience that will encourage them to visit again. To top it off they just ignored the fact that I wanted the other two children measured so I ended up saying I'd go back another day. I won't be shopping here again though, I'll find a different store as their Customer service needs some serious work.
