The Brogue Trader T/A Loake Shoemakers Exeter

If your after quality handcrafted British made shoes, look no further. This was my first visit to Loake, and let me just say how impressed I was. Kelvin and the team were extremely patient and informative. They offered me tea as I tried on different pairs. You could get these shoes online, but if you want the hospitality and a great service, then drop in store. They were even kind enough to throw in a free shoe cream, and told me that if I was having any difficulty in polishing that I was welcome to drop in and be shown. Real professionals! In the end, I went for these gorgeous Buckingham shoes. Loake also offer full resoling. My first Loake pair, they did me proud.

Very rarely do you find a shop with a 100 percent 5 star rating - well deserved. Service from Kelvin and other staff members was exceptional, great shoes by the way.

Extremely good customer service. I had a pair of boots bought for me as a present but as I was travelling did not open the box for six months. When I did I found minor marks on the leather of one boot. Kelvin went out of his way to help me out, despite the amount of time that had past, resulting in a replacement. For quality shoes I highly recommend this shop.

Was given a pair of Loake brogues for Christmas but because one was too tight I thought I would have to pass them on. Not so. I popped only the Exeter store and discussed the issue with Kevin who offered to stretch them whilst I waited. This he did but they were still a little tight. Kevin told me to leave the shoes with him and he would use their other machine. I picked the shoes up today and true to his word Kevin had worked his magic and the shoes are now a perfect fit. I am so pleased as I really like the shoes.
The service & advice that I was given was superb; Kevin a genuinely nice helpful guy and best of all, it was all done for free. Thank you Kevin.

Somewhat of a random review because I didn't actually buy anything, but the advice and service was second to none, but credit where credit is due, and the salesman who took time to go through the different styles and types was knowledgeable, funny, and clearly passionate about his products. It was a stretch too far for my budget given that I needed a pair for a one off event, but I have no doubt that if I was a snappier dresser on a more regular basis, I would return and buy something that would ooze quality, because that's what I'd get. Fabulous shop, fabulous advice and highly recommended if you're in the market for quality footwear.

Customer service was second to none. Expertly measured and fitted for a beautiful pair of shoes, with friendly advice on looking after them into the future from an obviously experienced member of staff. Didnt get his name but wouldn't have made a purchase today had it not been for the hospitality received. Couldn't rate highly enough... especially with a wild 3 year old in tow!
