Gloucester Quays

We (my brother, nephews & I) took a 2-hours self-manned boat ride along the canal. Though mostly built up, it was still a lovely scenic view. The swan and ducks were a nice addition.

Last visited the Quays about 20 years ago and what a lovely surprise to see how it has been developed since then. Plenty to do around there for a day, shopping and eating places in abundance! Very pleasant place to wander around in the autumn sunshine.

Visited today after many years. Wow! Buzzing, vibrant, multi cultral. The food market was great. Lots of food restaurants & lovely on a sunny day.

Modern shopping mall in buildings that blend into the area of the docks. All the normal high Street brands in one place. Masses of eateries.

Nice atmosphere, easy parking with more than enough, Christmas market just outside the main shopping centre and plenty of people around for it not to feel dull and tired. Only giving it a 4/5 in comparison to London based shopping centres. Nice day out with lots of dining and cafe options .....

Here you can find a selection of outlet stores and its great to be able to walk outside as well around the the old docks as well, some unique shops that sell outlet stock. there are a few nice resturants.
It can get quite busy here when its festive or a local event is on. You can also escape the constant trail of people by wondering outside from the under cover shops. its worth a few hours out.

Great outlet finds from shoes, bags, winter clothing, down to stationery needs! The docks is lovely too.

Loved walking around Gloucester Quays and such historic buildings, cultural landmarks in and around the Gloucester Historic docks.
So lively, full of restaurants and food choices and seeing all the Narrowboats, cruisers and the dock landmarks, the manned locks and lift bridge around this area is amazing and stunning.
Lovely place to visit with friends, families and children and all free which is very rare nowadays.
