Royal Victoria Place

Very convenient to park here and you can ether explore the town or shop in the many different retail shops, as well as enjoy a bite to eat or just relax with a cuppa ☕️

Unfortunately like many other places all around the country, if not the world most of the units are closed or empty 😶

But I definitely recommend visiting this place when Fenwick have their sale, it’s usually bargains to be found all around their department store.

Dead Mall. Unfortunately.

Thanks to the digital age of online shopping, post covid retail sluggish growth, and blessing of capitalism, this mall is on its last breath. Staggering inflation and cost of living crisis may prove to be a nail in the coffin.

Back to the ground realities:

More than 65% of shops are empty or closed. Food court has ONLY subway left, which may go underground soon! No pun intended.

Better than it was, but still lots of empty units. Kids love it though, so will go again!! Love the cafe on the top floor too!

Wow. Ghost town. So many empty shops and zero atmosphere. Food hall is a joke. One subway!! Nothing outside anymore. Wonder if management have priced themselves out of the market.....

Convenient location. Lots of shops. Plenty of parking in multi storey. Lots of cages and department stores including Boots, Fenwicks and Marks and Spenser, both lovely stores, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Everything you could need to buy is here or in the nearby shops adjacent to Royal Victoria Place, in Tunbridge Wells.

Honestly a great place for a day out, me and my friends get the train here regularly and spend the day looking around the shops as well as the nearby area. Some really good places to eat, we usually get a Subway, but there's a lot to choose from, my favourite shop has to be the HMV, I could spend hours looking around in there. The overall atmosphere of the shopping centre is great, a lot calmer than similar shopping centres in other nearby towns, the decorations around Christmas are amazing and you're never too far from a bench.

£2 An hour for parking!! I would have liked to stay longer and look at others shops but due to the cost of parking I had to leave. Also some levels of the car park were unavailable to use.
