I am mad, I am furious, I am not starved but I wanted my mcdonalds. Around 2:10pm I went to McDonald’s and the computer system was shut down, so nobody could get there food and I’m fuming. if it’s not up and running by tomorrow I’m getting everyone to write a bad review.

Updated 1/12 giving it 4 stars as new McDonald's now open, and big b&m store next door to home bargains so good shopping experience.

Decent selection of shops. Free parking. Enough to keep you busy if you want an afternoon of retail therapy. Wide variety of products on offer in the shops, several places to get stuff to eat and drink. Directly around the corner from ASDA.

Huge B&M perfect for picking up some bargains. Also handy for reasonable prices pet food at Jollys. Only issue really is the lack of parking especially with the opening of Colchesters 5th Macdonalds at the park.

McDonalds
I’m a delivery driver for Uber and Deliveroo, I went to the restaurant to collect an order and was greeted by a nice young lad who told me I needed to be next door in a separate room for delivery collections. He very kindly directed me but that’s where the issue began. Once in the collection area I could clearly see my order ready to go, only a couple of feet away from me, the other side of the counter. There were 3 members of staff in the area, they could see that I had my delivery bag and was waiting. One female staff member wearing a headset was wandering aimlessly, appeared bored and made no attempt to greet me or ask for my order number. There were no other orders on the screen so it should have been obvious this was my order. A second staff member, another young lad was chatting to a third member of staff who just kept looking over at me, again no attempt to greet me. When I tried to get their attention, the female disappeared out of sight, followed by the young lad. This left a slightly older male member of staff, he didn’t attempt to speak to me either and instead made himself look busy by wiping down the coffee machine. After calling out “excuse me” for the 4th time and still being ignored, I left. Absolutely appalling experience but a massive thumbs up to the first lad who took the time and effort to help. I hope the next driver received a nicer welcome and that the food made it to the customer whilst still warm.
It’s a shame Google doesn’t offer the option to give zero stars because this place doesn’t even deserve one!

Just the worst place to visit nowadays since they added a B&M store and a drive through McDonalds. Dozens and dozens of parking spaces were lost so they could build Colchester's 5th McDonalds and now finding a parking space is stupidly challenging. Worst of all though is getting out of the darned place when you want to leave. Can easily take 10-15 mins just to get out of the car park. We rarely go there any more, it's just too much trouble.
