Pleasantly surprised. Great atmosphere whilst walking around. Great improvement to the area. Plenty of eating outlets, boutique shops. Park for children . Still on going development but greatly improved.

Elephant & Castle finally arrived in its new 'version'. If you new this place before in its shaddy, run-down council flat estate version and have not seen its total makeover, then come and see it - you will not recognise it! Its still developing with new flats being builded and shops and eateries opening but it's already a fairly good place for meet up with friends or family - there is a good choice of places to eat throughout the day and evening, some gym and yoga studio, hair dressers and beauty sallons, some lookal old market stools moved to new shiny locations and gaming places. The actual park with metal elephants structures is full of kids playing in water fountains in summer and there are benches in the park just to sit down and relax. The old shoping centre is gone after much of fighting over as it was listed building! Can't wait to see what the new currently under construction shoping centre will be like!

Renterification they put a play area for kids when it started but now it looks like a play playground with no much for kids. It is terrible when you lived in the area and see it taken away from the community. This site there use to live very poor people and now one can never guess. The question remains where did all those people go??

It is a nice place to scroll down and enjoy the shops and restaurants in the area. There is also a nice park in the area where you can sit and relax, assuming the weather permits it. They have recently put up their Xmas tree. Pics attached.

This place holds a special place in my heart because there always seems to be something going. Such as a festival highlighting Latin American culture and more recently an event celebrating Black History Month. It is also situated in Elephant Park which is a great place to go if just want to sit down relax and observe nature.

Well, Just nice. As usual. It was pleasant to see two small dogs having a walk in the ancient ditch surrounding the former prison 😊
But, surprisingly, crossed the road and found a very nice and quiet pkace named St. Katharine Docks...

A nice area to walk through and a different selection of shops or restaurants to choose from, this area we now know as elephant square has come along way but would definitely recommend
