Ashton Square Shopping

Nice to see some more shops filling up the empty spaces. I visited boots and new look and then poundworld which were all in a very small area. Those shops were large and plenty of space to move around. My first visit was boots, the member of staff was cheerful when she served me and was very helpful in putting my shopping in my bag for me whilst I struggled to get my money out of my bag. New look again staff were very friendly and helpful. The clothes in there look great. Unfortunately not a lot in the plus sizesalthough you may find one or two if you look hard enough. Unfortunately not a lot of stores in Dunstable do cater for over 14s. Luckily I found something in a18 which I'm hoping will fit me. My last visit was a bit of a hit and miss. The site has had a change round since I last visited. There are a large variety of items, but i didn't find my items easily this time. Next time maybe will be different. There were staff having to fill the shelves and it was very quiet, just before school home time. They were no staff manning the tills and I was patient until someone came up to them and then asks I was paying in cash for two items was told I was at the wrong till. I didn't see any signs saying which till to go to.
Plenty of shops to visit and cafés. We still need more shops at reasonable prices in the high street and not just in the retails parks.

Nice local square fullnofnshops. Some empty though. Also parking is fidly.

Nice little place to wander around

This time of year is always good to visit Aston Square with it's Christmas stalls. Just a shame the council can't attract more stallholders the rest of the year. Fruit & Veg stall provides value for money.
