The size of this place just doesn't add up. The ground level size seems a hell of a lot smaller than the upper section. It seems to have endless jut-off areas with more shops. If we had got more time we would have explored more as when you come out of the shopping centre more shops appear. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area

I love shopping in the strand on a Friday they have an outdoor market and some of the stalls are good you will always find a bargain or two inside the shopping centre too. They have things on for the kids in the summer holidays this year they had a Dino dig it's free it's on from 10-4pm they had dinosaurs walking round for the kids to play withy kids had loads of fun.

The Strand is OK, a perfectly functional shopping centre in the 1980's kind of style. I'm sure it's suffered as much as anywhere with the rise of Internet shopping and the decline of the high Street, but it's still there, serving the community of Bootle and providing a range of shops from B&M to an excellent local butcher. Transport links are good and there is car parking available.

The strand is a nice community shopping centre. There are a few good charity shops and community spaces as well as some bigger name stores like New Look and TJ Hughes.
One of my favourite places to go is Longtime Hall Farm where they have a deli counter selling hot snack food. The chicken there is very nice and I sometimes travel to the strand just for that chicken.
Another highlight is Kingsley & Co children's book shop and coffee shop. They have a wonderful atmosphere and regularly arrange events for the community.

Ok if you want coffee or food. Most shops closed down. More like a ghost town. Only shops I'd recommend are TJ Hughes and the stalls in between.

Starting to look a bit sad, needs more investment from the owners. Shops are good, with a great range of products. From Card factory to JD sports. Plenty of places to get a dink or something to eat.

went one early morning and was met with wet floors throughout the market because the staff were mopping all the floor instead of mopping the edges so people found it very difficult to walk without slipping. there were no wet floor signs. the wet rock should do the center of the floor not the lady with the mop.
