Only good for getting from the car park to the town. Just 2 shops left open, Boots & Iceland, both of which I visit often. Time for the town to use some of the money given to them by the Government to encourage retailors back.

Such a shame about this little retail area, it has barely any stores in it and is very rundown. From what I could see there was a gaming store, a balloon/party decor store and a cafe, there is a jeweller's at the bottom end too but unsure if they are trading anymore as was partly boarded up and windows were empty

Unfortunately this arcade has very little offer. Howevwr there is a lovely cafe called the Windmill cafe.

Having just toured our fine county, it upsets me a bit to return to somewhere I thought was nice but in reality has got quite grim. Where is the guy that used to repair watches in his little trailer? The kids merry go round? I love the town I live in, I wish others would love it with me. A black bag 2 minutes a week litter picking. If we all did that we would have a spotless town. I hope I can come back to this post and edit it for the better. And yes I do go out litter picking daily as I walk my friend round his favorite route. We have had awards for our town garden. We should have awards for our clean streets.

Astley Walk. Shopping Arcade linking Ladd Lane and Merrial Street Newcastle Under Lyme. Unfortunately due to covid and prior to that austerity it only has 3 businesses using it, an employment agency, an electric bike shop and a game shop. Difficult to access for persons in vehicles, limited disabled parking is available in Merrial Street, Able bodied drivers will have to park by the old civic offices or Sainsbury's old car park, Land Lane which is off Ironmarket has no vehicle access and Ironmarket is pedestrian only from 10am to 5pm Mon - Fri.

Now even worse, only one cafe in the place, beleved to be due for demolition, but no information available from the planing department of the council, not worth visiting.

Mostly bars and charity shops, probably lively at night.
