Newport Retail Park

A well appointed retail park with a good mix of shops and a large carpark. That said, the retail park looks increasingly tired these days with uneven surfaces and sun bleached store signage. There are numerous empty units and despite some newer eateries and stores relocating there’s not a lot to single this retail park out as a better place to visit over most others.

Newport Retail Park, aka Spytty Park.
This is a typical and convenient shopping area, sporting several large brands, beginning with Boots (the chemist), a plethora of clothing and shoe shops (Clarks, Peacocks etc), Asda Living, Next, Poundland, Foot Asylum, M&S, Cancer Research UK (charity shop) and Tesco Extra (the main draw).
Parking is free and easy to access with hundreds of spaces.
Tesco also has additional parking.
The shops are all of a good standard. The only downside is that covid ended a few of the shops I'm a sad way.
Overall, a good time shopping area, with refreshments like Costa and a McDonald's and Pizza Hut nearby.
Just outside of Spytty is a large Matalan, Home Bargains and a Cineworld cinema (also I believe, as of writing this - October 2022 - Cineworld my have gone bust).

I recommend Spytty over Newport City Centre any day. A far superior shopping experience.

Called in there for a break on the journey home from the South Coast. Had a look in a few places for a few items and information. Covered walkway around the stores was very useful in the rain, but no cover in the car parks.

It is too popular for its own good. Surplus of shoppers over parking spaces so at Xmas shopping season there are cars circling like sharks trying to find a space.

A very good range of outlets in one compact neighbourhood.
From Asda to River Island..
This is a popular retail park,easily accessible just out of Newport centre.

Very convenient for me as I only live across the road. Nearly everything you need from a retail park. Can get really busy and be a pain to get in and out of during rush hour traffic.

Sunday morning, plenty of room to park, shops pretty quiet at that time.

Its a decent park, plenty of different shops,plenty of parking. Clean and tidy
