It will be ten years this year since I left Friars school. I like to think everyone I have achieved since I left was all thanks to them.
The friends I maid here I’m still in touch with today.
Crazy to think what I was like when I started at this school to what I was when I left to what I am now.
I am definitely a better person with a better quality of life compared to if I was at mainstream school.
I couldn’t read much when I started here in 2009 but they helped me through that.
Sometimes I think my relationship with students I like to think we help each other and students success story helped and inspired to go out there go after my goals to be more independent.
I think if it wasn’t for Friars I has drowned in life it would have so hard.
I’ve overcome most of those problems and now I have a job earning about £500 a month so my life is turning out really thanks to this place.
I can go on and on about great people I meet here and all the memories I have from this as if it weren’t 5 mines since I was in year eleven.
I came as child and left a young man and now I am a man.
It’s crazy to think about.

I couldn't wish for a better school than Friars Academy for my son. Truly caring and inspiring staff across the board. Support to pupils and families truly outstanding. A big 'thank you' for all these amazing years.
