Scarborough Rugby Union Football Club

A progressive community facility majoring in rugby union. The magnificent large greenfield sight with sea and castle views is managed superbly by competent and far sighted volunteers to offer diverse additional facilities. With abundant parking the development is also home to a large modern and well equipped sports club providing many forms of physical activity for the individual and for groups. It further houses a state of the art Squash annex which is now supported by a ground breaking Padel section. All the above are brilliantly supported by a coffee shop/bistro offering (open to the public), large, versatile and comfortable bars with adjacent dining and conference and meeting facilities. The ‘family’ atmosphere is completed by a Garden Of Rest for deceased players, members and supporters of a truly inspirational CLUB.

We are so lucky to have this place on our doorstep, my whole family benefit from the facilities. The staff are so friendly & helpful and always very welcoming to new families who want to give Rugby a try.

Fantastic facilities for playing rugby, with 5 pitches and 8 changing rooms. Barons gym is very well equipped and the gym instructors are allways on hand to give help and advice. The sports hall provides an opportunity to play walking rugby all year round.

A superb friendly club coupled with first rate facilities.
Great catering, with rooms to hire for private functions etc.
Excellent pre match meal which is very reasonable.

I was disappointed with the quality of the rugby, I was told it was a high level rugby club and paying £10 to get in and watch was very over the top but I went with it and paid my £10 but I left so disappointed!! I asked Matty Jones for a pic and autograph but I won’t repeat what he said to me! This left my young lad who’s looking to get into rugby very upset and he still mentions it to me now and this was 3 months ago.
We decided on a spot of lunch in the on-site cafe and what could only be described as a warmed up rustlers burger was served to me and a can of pop that said multipack only and not for resale! My son who is allergic to dairy was then given a babybell by the one of the players to cheer him up!!! I tried to email and call regarding this matter but was ignored. Not a nice place to visit and the players are so arrogant and rude staff. Not a nice experience at all

We have held our fortnightly breakfast networking event at the Rugby Club since March 2022 and the facilities there are perfect. The staff are all welcoming and the meeting room is just right to host such an event. If I only lived closer I am sure I would use much more of the facilities available.

Attended a BOB club meeting (Business over Breakfast) at Scarborough RUFC this Friday. Good facilities and great breakfast butty. There is ample parking which is always a bonus particularly when several guests attend the meetings

Great amenities, helpful staff. Lovely location on the edge of the town. Really nice cafe, and brilliant facilities.
