Saffron Lane Athletics Stadium

Very nice people working at the stadium. When requesting anything they will get it for you and did not have any issues. Equipment available at the stadium are competitive standard, so you get the best and no compromises when training or during athletic events. Really big car park for the fans when attending an event.

Wasn't sure what to expect as I know from living in Leicester and seeing the stadium from the outside that it had been let down and let go in many ways.
I wasn't surprised to see the actual running track and area had definitely seen better days but on saying that my experience was fine.I was welcomed and booked in then as far as the track was concerned the surface is intact and fine to run on so no complaints.

Took some kids from school to an athletics day there today it was really well organised. Everyone there was very professional and it ran really well. The kids loved it also!

Changed so much, poor car parking.
More a case of park how you like.
Very poor disabled access for spectators.
Poor protection from the weather when viewing events.

Full of potential but the place looks abandoned. A recent fire in the front row didn't help but the facilities would have been a mess anyway. Went their 20 years ago and it's not been looked after at all. Another example of the local council letting the city down!

Outdated website. Wrong opening hours, made it impossible to figure out training. Also, RIDICULOUS prices to train.

Saffron Lane athletics club coaches are amazing, super patient and supportive to our daughter who is in their club. Athletes of all abilities wecolme and all get equal attention. Also a bargain at only £3.80 a session!!!!

Needs work overall. Such as weed cutting, grass mowing and better mic system. Apart from that good seating and tracks for small to medium sized schools.
