The owners are so lovely! I really needed some yarn to make a last minute gift but I was running late and it was approaching their closing time. I called them up and they happily stayed open for me and they had such a wonderful range of yarn for such a good price! I can't express my gratitude enough. Great shop and great staff!

This place has a great selection of wool, especially as the shop isn't that big, and some amazing offers - 10 balls for £10 on selected wools! It is quite messy with packs of wool lining the walls but that's part of the charm, a bit like being in a giant wool lined nest. The staff are friendly and it's right next to the cut through to the carpark so you don't have too far to stagger with your haul! I would definitely recommend a visit

Came in to get a dye to colour a dress, needed advice, hence going to a habadashary, unfortunately, the two members of staff that were in the shop both said that they were new and couldn’t offer me any advice.
The man that I was speaking to then just walked off and left me stood there.
Needless to say I left without purchasing anything. They said I was welcome to come back the next day when someone would be there to help but I didn’t have much faith in this and I was working to a time deadline that I wouldn’t be able to meet if I came back the next day.

Love this place. Sorry good when you have project in mind. The chap in there is so helpful. But do note you need to buy all the wool you need as stock changes regularly.

Further update.... The shop is now closed. For further information please look at their Facebook page. UPDATE... This shop is closing down and moving to their industrial unit on Highmeres road, Thurmaston. A massive selection of wool/yarn from around the world and some amazing crafting supplies. Always polite and helpful staff and owners.

Is it possible to give them 0 stars?
"Show them the door":
Won't be going back ever again. I've put up with their bluntness before but this time they were out right rude to my parents. They always get in the way asking if they can help when they don't know anything about crafting, told me once that a completely different blue was "close enough" for a project I'd run out with and said "should have come to us first then". Goes back today, giving benefit of the doubt, and at 3pm they are closing, start to rush us out, my dad didn't think this was very good service, and as we were all leaving the guy snarkily says to his mate that "they got offended, just show them the door"! I'll be telling all my crafting friends to avoid these people from now on.

Absolutely disgusting attitude towards customers, gives you the wrong wool and when you take it back to exchange,he refused to exchange stating that no exchanges or refunds are given even tho my wife asked for double knit and he gave her chunky wool instead.
So be aware when buying of him, make sure you get what you ask for and oh make sure you take cash because doesn't take card payments either or give receipts 🤔🤷‍♂️.very dodgy bloke.

Tax avoidance, rude and wont refund or exchanged when it was their error. Terrible company.
