The staff in the reception are very friendly and concerned about customers' demand. When I find my room has a strong smell of paint and feel disappointment. The staff are very kindly to help me to change a more healthy room. I believe they will do their best to help all the customers and it would be a good experience to live here.
In addition, the location is good which is near Kings' cross and this accommodation has variable common rooms that can have a good time. Very recommended here.

I have stayed in this place for a year when I was pursuing my masters degree in UCL.

I got really good flatmates as I assume Unite students put Masters students together and starting months were great until one of our flatmate was really loud and brought lot of his drunk friends in the middle of the night. After lot of patience we (including my other flatmates) had to file an official complaint. Honestly, the staff didn’t do anything other than sending him some mails. So if you are stuck with the flatmate you don’t get along or is very noisy. you are stuck forever.

Other main issues with this place are:
- Location is not safe and interior is way too complicated( two lifts to get to your flat)
- Walls are literally “visible air”. You can hear EVERYTHING what your neighbours are doing.
- Hot water problem in winter
-NOISES! the main problem I had was the noises coming from outside and if you complain the staff was quite rude saying “ I can’t tell people to shut up”
-Laundry system is a mess.
- In summer, your room will be like Sauna.

So honestly if you are master student or kind of person who wants quiet place this place is not for you for the price you are paying. Look around and you can find way cheaper places with better management.

I gave two stars because some of their staff is good ( like Demi) except the one who I called at night to compain about the noise and the room size is good.

Also, I once heard one girl asking the staff why the place got so many bad reviews they told her that student expect this place to be a 5 star hotel and expect too much. To be fair, yes this could be true but the fact that they did not take accountability of their own flaws was bit misleading but I get it.. you can’t tell the truth when you are selling the place to students.

In short, you can find places with better services and better location for the price you are paying.

Thankyou.

The worst place ever....once u live in IQ or any other student accommodation u ll find out how awful is this place. Stuffs are rude. And some times they come into your room without noticing. Even once I was in my bed they didn’t even lock the door and use the key to come in. And the manager( the less hair old man ) was extremely rude and fake, if u r Chinese u will feel that way even more. Anyway, the reception team has very bad order and the kitchen is super dirty. And the vibe there even more weird like u can feel that people are not comfortable to live there. Every one is slamming the doors. And reception team come to your room without locking anytime. And the price are not even a bit lower. U live here u need some lucky then.

Although I've stayed at another one of their London sites, I believe everyone should be aware of the issues surrounding Unite Students since I have heard from many people that they have experienced similar things.

The only reason I'm giving them a one star rating is because I can't give them zero stars. It is easily the worst establishment I have ever stayed with. Everything is extremely dirty when you move in, there are 4 washing machines for about 50 flats to share, there is no real ventilation in any kitchen so every room constantly smells like food, and doors lock themselves randomly every now and then, forcing you to wait about 1.5 hour for a member of staff to unlock it for you. A waste of time and money. The only good thing about the building are the staff in the office, who are always so nice and feel so bad about the fact that they literally cannot do anything to help you out of these situations.

Also, beware booking through Unite Students. They are quite literally evil. I have heard of many instances of them not paying quite large sums of refunds back to students who had legal claims over them. They will basically do anything to rob you out of money. Student wellbeing is definitely not at the center of their business. It is nothing more than a corporate moneymaker. Beware engaging in any kind of business with Unite Students!!!!

Awful experience and would not recommend living here to anyone. Every issue that comes with the apartment the on location staff says they cannot assist as it is through a third party and it is my responsibility to contact them. Examples of this is when the laundry machine does not work, when the WiFi (which is constantly in and out) is not connecting, when the vending machine does not release the product you paid for. The building is also advertised as 24/7 staff but from 10 pm to 6 am there is hardly ever anyone at the front desk and if they are there they do not want to be seen as the shutters are pulled down. This is a security concern as if you are locked out of the building late at night you begin to feel unsafe as Camden is a hot spot for crime and there is an extensive amount of drug addicts lingering near the building. Aside from all of this there has not been running hot water in my room for over two weeks. You are overcharged to live here and I would advise you to stay away.

The worst student accommodation provider that there is. They do not help their students at all. Last year, my friends from Romano Court told that before unite students took over Liberty Court (now known as Romano Court), kitchens and toilets used to be cleaned by cleaners and now you need to clean the toilet and kitchen and everything. I kept on asking for a change of my room cause compared to everyone i have a very very small room with a single bed whereas everyone has big rooms with a double bed and further I’m diabetic. I literally fell down from my bed a couple of times. They have not helped at all. I kept on asking them and they kept on replying me with vague answers. They have empty rooms but they do not bother to help me in any way.

The accomodation is clean and the front-desk people are very helpful, my only problem is how they handled the pandemic. They write agreements as a way to make as much money as possible. Despite a global pandemic they refused to cancel any arrangements or give a refund. I decided to move out early on because the building has a lot of people in it, therefore wouldn't be a safe option to stay in. Now I have no chance of getting a refund for the rest of my stay as well as having to manage council tax in a building I no longer live in.

It seems they’ve really taken the reviews here seriously and tried their best to make things better. The reception staff are very polite, there are regular kitchen inspections to make sure everyone cleans up and they also help out by doing a bit of cleaning. There are quite a few social events in the common room that encourage people to get out of their room.

Just looking at the quality of the accommodation this is the best UCL accommodation(not technically UCL but some people get a discount price through ucl). It is modern and one common room has table tennis, table football and a pool table which no other UCL accommodation does. The rooms are big by British standards.

On the other hand location is not very good. The nearest tube station is a 6-7 minute walk away which is not ideal and Camden is generally a pretty ugly area by (central) London standards. It’s also dodgy but that’s mostly the area around Camden Town station. The food options are good by London standards(little expensive). Commuting to UCL can take 20-25 minutes that you’re probably better off walking. It is still a pretty anti social hall for some reason people seem to stay in their room a lot. maybe they’re tired from the commuting?! As I don’t go clubbing I feel extremely lonely here. I spend most of my time at UCL or in London but whenever I return I have to stay in my room as I have no friends at this accommodation which can get depressing.
