Quiet and homely environment with good cooking and recreational facilities situated on a lovely campus. Great for postgraduates!

Good place for staying...but rooms are little smaller but overall it's good.

The building is falling apart, needs major restoration, not worth the money, way to expensive for what it is. On top of that the welcome point for this building and the jubilee campus is woeful, it is run like a business rather than uni accommodation, poor resident services. Poor maintenance throughout the building and any issues take ages to resolve. The campus is lovely but this accommodation and welcome point is not.
Only use as a last resort.

Melton Hall is not fit to house anyone. There were major plumbing and maintenance problems from the moment we moved in and throughout the year, none of which were fixed during our stay. The kitchens are small, unsafe and filthy. Fire alarms went off regularly at all hours. The list goes on.

Please, please don't spend your money on living here, unless you have no other option. There is a Welcome Point to contact for support, but they rarely respond to problems or complaints, hence the building is in the state it's in. No one appears to take any responsibility. Something needs to be done to stop universities from offering accommodation like this.

Decent accomodation. The only down point is that the kitchen is shared between more than 8 people.

Postgraduate dormitory with facilities like study space, ping-pong ball table, piano. Bedrooms are all ensuite with shared kitchen.

The way this accommodation ran by the university during COVID was awful. Cleaners did not clean the ensuite bathrooms (understandable during COVID and I prefer to do this myself) also both cleaners and builders had come into my room unannounced on multiple occasions (not the best if you want to avoid an awkward situation of just waking up or getting changed, especially on a "all female floor"). The rooms are not cleaned thoroughly as many full sanitary bins were found when moving in. Not to mention that it was also rented out during a time they had to repair it, leaving students having to live elsewhere in undergraduate halls. It was promised that this would be completed during the Christmas period , however, this had been extended further and further back. This hall isn't the best with temperature as it is unbelievable hot during the summer due to the massive windows letting the light in (especially the rooms at the back of the building). If you're thinking of living here, don't as they've put prices up too. There are other student accommodation options much better than this. I suggest private student accommodation.
