Tfl museum organises tours through the bunkers under the Clapham south station. Three guides are great and narrating the evening, they make you really emphasise with the people either hiding in the bunkers during the ww2, or temporarily sleeping over after the war (the bunkers were used as temporary accommodation for migrants from all over the world)

I have to wake up an hour earlier than what I would prefer due to how busy this station is during the week...if you don't get there before 8am you can enjoy a jam packed experience with your nose pressed into an armpit, someone's butt or handbag pressed into your back and the glorious stale scent of old booze and garlic wafting over you....even if you get there for 7.59 though, you will be fine :)

Corner site for rather nice old station. Art deco features in entrance hall and escalators. Small shop. History fans will like the "secret" doors which lead to the deep level WW2 bomb shelter under the station.

Straight forward kind of tube station served solely by the Northern line.

There is a small ticket hall with staff available and escalators to and from the platforms. There are no steps so it's accessible, but not to wheelchair users.

It's better than its neighbouring Clapham stations, as it has two separate platforms. This makes it feel safer when waiting for a train.

Locally there are a few shops, local bus routes, but it's mainly a residential area at the southern edge of Clapham Common.

Standard underground station with no step free access but located near the Clapham Common area. Getting to street level is easy thanks to escelators.

A very interbellic experience. Beautiful architecture and an experience like you come back from Dante's Inferno, ha ha ha. Really, I had an epiphany!
