This station is a good option to get onto the pretty decent Central Line. The surrounding area is nice and the station itself is well kept.

Boasting 4 ‘above-ground’ (outdoor) platforms, White City Station is one of the most pleasant transport venues to spend some time waiting for a ride - although you won’t have to wait long because the trains are very frequent. Served by the central line, the White City area benefits from 24hr service at the weekend. Additionally, EVERY westbound train departing from central London goes at least as far as White City, so you don’t have to wait for the ‘right’ train. For transport connections, a short walk along the street brings you to Wood Lane station (re-opened 2008) served by the Hammersmith & City and Circle lines, with bus stops directly outside (220, 72, 272) and White City bus station nearby for other routes. Shepherd’s Bush overground station is also a walkable distance giving links to Clapham Junction and Gatwick airport.

White City station offers close & convenient access to the new northern section of the huge Westfield shopping mall (opened March 2018) - ideal for reaching John Lewis & Partners department store, Ichiba Japanese Market, All Star Lanes bowling alley, Heals, Habitat, Natuzzi and a host of other homeware stores. The piazza (White City Square) is a large open space featuring al fresco seating / dining areas, table tennis facilities, seasonal pop-ups (winter village, artificial lawns in summer etc.) and a giant screen.

Television Centre (BBC, ITV studios etc.), White City Place (media centre), Soho House ((private member’s club/hotel), Elephant West (arts venue), Troubadour Theatre, Queen’s Park Rangers football club (Loftus Road stadium), Imperial College campus, Hammernsith Hospital, and Wormwood Scrubs park are all within walking distance.

Back at the spacious, recently restored station you’ll find an ATM (cash machine), friendly TfL staff, toilets, the Mini Café (take away only @whitecityminicafe ) and a small snack shop. There’s also a waiting room on the platform to shelter from the cold and wind in winter.

Downsides: there’s no longer a ticket office, just machines, and sadly STILL no step-free access as of 2020... come on TfL! (you lost a whole star for that!)

Emerging from the dark tunnels into the fresh air and light at White City is an uplifting and liberating experience, especially in the summer months when the heat & claustrophobia of the underground section of the line can be oppressive.

I hope that one day the London Underground figures out how to make all its stations wheelchair and disability friendly, but this station is only able-body friendly at the moment, sadly. Fun fact - it has a public toilet just after the barrier to the left as you enter the station - use it Before you Tap Out! It was quite well maintained the last time I was there, too.

Its a train station what do you expect. It does have a toilet that's handy after a night in town.

Great place for shopping but always very busy, and sometimes a bit crazy with the crowds!

A station with a old underground roundel is an instant 5/5. I also love the interior, great!

A more Rural part of London but with an enormous Westfield Shopping Complex that makes up for that. We tried a couple of restaurants in Westfield too. Very good.
We came to see QPR play Hull under 23's. A donation only match held several times a year.
QPR won 4-3.
