Asda Blackpool Welbeck Avenue Supermarket

I much prefer shopping here than at the main Asda in Blackpool. The staff are friendly and helpful. They always say hello and seem to know you personally. The range of products is sufficient for my needs and I never have to queue long at the checkout.

Usually lovely staff but unfortunately today the gentleman in the security uniform and florescent pink plimsoles (also referred to himself as the general manager) was extremely rude and unprofessional to a family of customers.
The family were using a paper £50 note to pay and the lady on the till asked the security/manager man to check the note. Straight away he had a bad attitude, said they weren’t legal tender and then once he heard they had an accent his attitude became even worse. He was extremely curt and abrupt and claimed that the notes “weren’t legal tender, EXCEPT for paying debt”. He repeated the debt statement a couple of times which was weird.
Luckily a lovely lady colleague stepped in, served them and wished them a lovely day.
Fifty pound notes are legal tender until September 2022, so it’s a real shame that he had to use such attitude whilst also being wrong.

The security guy is very knowledgeable about all the products and helps with questions about recipes and cooking.

I go into this asda most days as its very local to me but today i think his name is micheal he had a security jacket on was extremely rude to customer excused customer of stealing and when staff not sure of girls name has tattoo on her face he then went on to scream he would discipline her if she served this lady when i told him that what i thought he had done was disgusting he just replied with why what did i do then when i told him he just said okay this man is disgusting and i will not be going in there again if i see him i will go iceland instead

yer bin accused for stealing twice now and i’m just glad i’ve proved them wrong utterly disgusted with that Michael they look at you like your nothing , not very professional or friendly at all, i definitely won’t be going back there st all, all the money i used to spend there i’ll go else where anywhere thrn looking at there horrid nasty faces and a few people have bin complaint about him on other sites as well, with attitudes like that , used to have my own catering business your meant to look after your customers they all need sacking and replaces urgently

Steve was so helpful at the Asda Well beck Blackpool, he didn't know how stressful my day had been, and he just made my day!

Ignorant attitude of a staff member this morning when I had the cheek to ask her for help with the self service checkout. She had to leave her position at the kiosk checkout and march 15 yards to try to tell me off. Another staff member told me that she has an attitude problem and is disliked as she sucks up to the bosses.Needs serious training. Visited 29th May 2021 9.3am.
