Tesco Express

Standard Tesco really. Fresh bread and fruit. Large selection of prepare lunch items. I have even acquired batteries, allergy meds, and spices here. Don't think I've ever failed to find something I might need.

Absolutely disgusting shop. Standards are very poor and the fridges are really dirty!!

The place stinks and really puts you off buying anything to eat. Very small selection of products. Runs out of bread and meat very quickly and no one is bothered to do a proper replenishment.

No attempts to social distance from staff, but the cashier actually wiped his lips after drinking something from a fan prior to handling my groceries. COVID is everywhere and not only are employees not wearing any gloves they actually think it’s ok to wipe your face, lips, no then proceed to handle groceries. The hell!?

Great for small bits, like not for a week's worth of groceries but if you need some bits for dinner or just a drink and a snack then this place is perfect.

Open till late and plenty of self service tills to pay at so less time standing queuing, convenient location

* the stale milk/musky smell is back again. Costa express machine hardly ever works as it should (poors 'short' or is regularly out of order) and has recently had an odd taste to the drinks. Had a chicken salad from here last time and it smelt of fish. Also a growing problem with antisocial behaviour and beggars at the store entrance.*

(had a slight refresh/refurb with new fridges since this review. Store now smells fresh and clean.) Average Tesco express. Never had a serious problem here. Although it has a lingering smell of stale milk, especially near the meal deal fridges. Have found a few salad boxes open/leaking before but this is probably due to rough handling. Not alot of staff in here and the security guard seems to be also parking in a customer service role for the self service tills as well as trying to stop pro beggars and other things.

Always good value on though and usually well stocked.

At least they have some vegan items in the free from section, but alas it is oo little. Please stop trading of abuse and murder, it does not reflect well on the brand and customise items to have vegan products replace non vegan ones entirely.
