Sainsbury's

Being visit this store for long time, not the best selection but always get what I pay for.

Yet I don’t feel safe to visit the store anymore.

I was verbally assaulted by a staff serving at the self-check out till.

It was a lovely Sunday with sunny spell. I did some shopping in sainsburys to prepare the busy week.

I get everything I need and access to the self-checkout till.

There were no plastic bags at the entrance.

After I placed everything on the weight I realise I need a plastic bag to take all my shopping away.

Then I saw at the exit side of the self checkout till there were plenty of plastic bag. Where the sainsburys staff were standing at.

All I ask for is a favor, so I said the exact wording here: “excuse me, would you pass me a plastic bag?”

And the staff, took the plastic bag and yell at me, three times: “say PLEASE, say PLEASE, say PLEASE.”

I was frozen, and I said “please.” I wasn’t expect that assault.

I have the worst experience I ever had in sainsburys, as well as in the UK.

As a new migrant, I tried my best to fit in to the environment, If I did something wrong, people could advice me, but not in that way.

There actually a hint of racism to me, I hope that’s just my feeling.

Very old a dirty looking store. You go inside the store and you can see how run down it is. The service in store is not good. Staff seems like they don't care. And very strange store. Been many Sainsbury's store and much better upkeep to the building.

This store needs a fresh uplift to everything inside. When you could go to Aldi next door with all new and fresh look

Many weeks in a row now, on Saturdays at 10am ( the busiest shopping day of the week ), there has been only one till open ( with a "Closed" sign to discourage shoppers from going to the till - the staff member being forced to only serve customers on a discretionary basis ).
No one there to open any new tills in a bid to get customers to use the ghastly self-service checkouts.
Will need to rethink where I usually shop as a result. Obviously not the fault of the put-upon workers, but this must come from the head offices of Sainsbury's. Very poor regard for customers as result.

This is probably the smallest supermarket in London. Due to the size of the store, the selection is significantly limited, but almost all basic foods can be found here. But you have to be careful about what you pay for and how much you pay. Several times I was charged a higher amount than the price indicated on the product, or I was charged the wrong amount, or I was charged a fee for a bag even though I had my own.

Still has a coin exchange machine - very useful. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful with problems with the self-service machines. Store layout feels a little untidy though.

Right in the centre of town quite big has your every day products excellent if you need a bit of shopping

This is probably the worst sainsbury's that i have came across in London.Very arrogant and rude staff. When i was doing self check out it was showing different price as it was on display but as soon as i asked help to the lady staff she assualted verbally to me while it was their own system fault. I don't know why she's been paid if she is not ready to help their customers. I would never ever go to visit any sainsbury's anymore.
We got more options with better quality, better price and better customer service.

Easy to find the products you are looking for. The staff are amazing and friendly and welcoming with a positive attitude
