On Tuesday 2 August at around 10.15a.m, As I lean on the shopping trolley while waiting on short queue in turn at cashier till. He rudely sign-gesture me to move to make way for him to machine clean on floor but I retreated and told him that there is enough space to allow him through but he start to argue with me cos he think I am rude customer blocking his way but I don't understand what he say due to my Deafness so he shove the cleaning machine against my pushing shopping trolley out of his way like driving wedge and carry on his cleaning job back and forth. I was offended and disgusted by the staff member grumpy rude attitude
I am been customer at Lidl for more than 20 years so I never encountered any of these rude staffs except him.
To add my injury insult, when I completed with my payment at casher till and recieved the shopping receipt from female cashier staff member and I tried to push my shopping food trolley through the exit door but this trolley suddenly stalled and set up flashing alarm that cause some of shopping customers staring at me thinking I am shoplifter!
I feel uncomfortable and embarrassed by this so I gestured to ask one of staff member to use the anti-theft device to unlock the tagged trolley wheel and inactivate the store flashing alert to allow me to push the shopping food trolley out of Lidl supermarket exit to car parking area. It is not first time for me, it occurs to me at few occasions.
However I am not happy with the Lidl supermarket poor management and unprofessional service so I am considering about never returning to Streatham Lidl store again until rude staff member should be disciplined at staff awareness training how to respect disabled customers and they should sort out with ridiculous misfunction anti-theft flashing alert system and trolley to avoid embarrassment on innocent shoppers like me.
Apart from this, great. Thank you to people who work there.
12 September, utter chaos, queues a mile long and short on stock. Walked out.
20 September very poor selection of bread, freezer cabinets half empty. Walked out AGAIN.
11th October NOT A SINGLE self service till taking cash. Why is this till problem not being solved ?
You may be big on Lidl prices but bottom of the list for customer service !
Actually had all 4 cash self-service tillls working...
but only for about 3 days. PATHETIC.
