Sainsbury's Local

The biggest supermarket this end of Tottenham Court Road (there is another big one near Warren Street). This store has a particularly good selection of fruit & veg and is a popular spot for lunchtime sandwiches. The staff at the self-service machines can be annoyingly slow occasionally, but generally it's a good pit stop. If you're feeling poor, head here in the evening when they reduce quite a large portion of their perishables.

As this is my local Sainbury's I was a regular shopper here. Mostly my experiences were fine, staff are generally helpful and friendly. My one annoyance was the irregularity of their stock of Oatly milk in particular. It seemed to be a gamble as to whether it was stocked or not. Every other alternative milk is always well stocked and they seem to have several varieties of soya (in refrigerated and near egg section). I would often ask the staff who would go out back and find it - meaning it was down to the branches bad stocking system more often than not. Today I went in and did the same, this time the price ticket was no longer there, but the same empty spot stood. I was told they didn't have it in stock ( the helpful member of staff did have a look out back), but I thought I would give them feedback (for the second time) regarding this issue. I was directed to the manager who clearly couldn't give a damn and gave me automated robot replies. He was incredibly patronising and highly arrogant and dismissive in his manner. It's a shame that these people let down the whole store. I shall be taking my custom elsewhere from now on.

I use this store quite often as it is close to where I live. Recently I have been struggling to find some basic products, including pasta, rice, flour, yeast.. and I have been back a few times since Covid-19 lockdown. So it wasn’t only one time.
Hopefully things will get better.
They have both self checkout tills and served which you would use if you needed cigarette or anything kept under lock and key.
The store is quite clean and staff is friendly enough. Especially security guys.

Love this store, grew up in it so there is nothing wrong I would say. They always have what I need

The elderly black woman that was on the tills today 18/06/2022 at 3:05pm is extremely unprofessional and need to sent on a customer service course. I heard her telling her younger male colleague that “ the customers are giving her a headache and stressing her”. Her attitude is not pleasant. Customer services is dealing with people of all sorts.

Staff are cool but the range of products aren't great

It is one of my local 'rescue' shops, thanks to the people who work there and work hard.

It’s not the greatest Sainsburys. The selection is quite limited and the aisles are a bit cramped. The staff today were really friendly especially the guy at the checkout with the beanie hat. It could be far better and is probably worth a little investment. 4.5 stars.
