In this branch I find the staff very helpful, they will go out of their way to help, even going to check in the storeroom AND, most are very knowledgeable as to where items are within store. It makes the chore of shopping more bearable
I think the manager must be good. As usually in any business, a good manager produces good staff.
Adding.....
On Sat. 13th Aug. I visited Sainsbury's in Surbiton. It was around 7.30pm and the shop was quiet so all the tills were closed only the Self Service open. I had a trolley full and one of the girls opened a till especially for me.
I thought that was going beyond the call of her duty. Very Very kind of her.

I wish the coupon, voucher, or discount printout can adapt automatically in our Card Points system rather than be printed out. Which is tend to forget every next time I come back and also save a waste of paper.

12/09/22 18:00pm. I entered the car park this evening expecting to receive a ticket to use to pay when exiting. However, the barriers were open and when I looked to press the button to retrieve a ticket, it said to please enter the car park. When I was exiting, I was greeted by a very rude carpark colleague. I explained that the barriers were lifted and I was physically not able to retrieve a ticket. He proceeded to tell me that you need to be a Sainsbury’s customer to park on the carpark which I know is not true. My friend parked in the car park and was directly in front of me when we were leaving. She explained to the man that the barriers were open and he it’s fine and let her exit immediately. So why was I not able to exit for the same reason? I was made to feel uncomfortable and felt discriminated against as others such as my friend were let through, however I was told I could not exit and was spoken to rudely. I would call to complain but there is no way for me to speak to a member of staff over the phone!

excellent store. the only times it can be busy are when its closing on Sunday afternoon. other times its very calm in hrere. fruit and veg is excellent and similar to lidl and aldi in price they could have more tills instead of self-checkout. there is a toilet with disabled facilities near the entrance.
Staff are very helpful and kind.

Like shopping in larger sainsbrys, as its generally carm with no loud music pumping. Although in Surbiton there always seems to be a hassle getting and putting back the shopping trolly, lack of space, or you could move the plants?

Don't think in a whole year I've done a single shop here where they had everything I wanted in stock. Also the Christmas music is irritating, repetitive, loud and makes an already quite poor shopping experience into an awful one

Not going to compliment the store but the young man who helped an elderly blind man today on to the k1, very young man, didn’t catch his name but this is what we like to see, well done to who ever you are! I work in retail too, and I only have one things to say, keep on being you!

I visit regularly. I've always found it more than adequately meets my needs. The staff are okay too.
