M&S Simply Food

This M&S store is inside Richmond station downstairs. I have been travelling through this station I never seen it. They should advertise it up stairs so people can see. This M&S is well stocked and all the staffs are very friendly and polite. They bake fresh bread rolls and dame good crossan in the morning.

We often pop in here for daily essentials on the way home from work/school run as it's very convenient, got a good range of stock and very efficient check out with no queues. The staff deserve special mention as they're very welcoming with our young son so he now always enjoys going in to the shop with us.

As other reviewers state, this was a good little M&S until they switched to self-service tills. I personally like self-service but you still have to support it for approvals and help customers who cannot (for various legitimate reasons) use it. I have now been here about 5 times and seen people struggle, with no staff to respond and help.

What on earth possessed M&S to take a good store and make it worse I'll never know.

Would have given this a 5star before the self serve tills came into place. The store was extremely welcoming and staff extremely good at customer service really enjoyed coming in here on the commute to work its a shame as the vibe is completely different.

Just moved to London from NYC and M&S food is a godsend. Absolutely delicious — literally everything — and affordable. So much better than Tesco and Waitrose and the others. Not sure why there’s such a difference but there is. I’m also obsessed with M&S juice shots — especially the one with turmeric and cayenne. Fabulous! Staff is friendly and helpful.

I lost my mask on the way so I went to their store to get a new one quick. They didn't let me in because I wasn't wearing a mask. I explain them that I wanted to buy one from them. They told me they had masks but that I could not buy one because I was not wearing a mask. So I got quicked out...The shop was totally empty and I was keeping distance from the staff, no risk of infecting others. Thank you, not allowing me to buy a mask is a great way to fight covid...

1830 and all the self serve/card machines were down. No signage or warning so did all the shopping in the short turnaround time I had only to have to leave it as the queue to pay cash only was unacceptable. Poor comms

I generally do part of a weekly shop in your store and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Yesterday afternoon I went to one of your staff, an elderly lady who was doing the food reductions, to ask where your daffodils were? She was incredibly rude and her manner was such that I felt belittled. I had come across her last year where her behaviour was extremely poor. Why are you employing people like her in a customer role who clearly are not happy in their jobs?
I would have given your store 5 stars because your staff are very good but this person has let the side down. I clearly feel that my custom is not welcome so will be shopping elsewhere.
