Sainsbury's

Since putting in the security barriers it's not as easy. As once you have done your shopping you need to scan your receipt to get out.
I understand security is required, but this is too far. I feel like its mission impossible to get out once you have done your shopping
I think I will be shopping elsewhere in future as other stores don't feel like I have done anything wrong.

I have updated my review to a 1 star due to the stupid decision to install pathetic barriers where you need to scan a receipt (or simply push through) to leave the self checkout area. Just security theatre that achieves nothing other than making your customers feel like criminals. Also don't be fooled by their greenwashing idea of removing best before dates from fruit and veg to reduce waste, it's just a way for them to sell past best produce at full price.

Great range of things, mainly food but it also has a great clothing range, their Christmas jumpers are quite comfy and keep you warm. Also has great homeware like your pots and pans.

Run like a prison, looks like a prison. I never want to go to prison and certainly will be avoiding this place too. If there was trouble here, you would not be able to get out fast enough because everyone is LOCKED IN by the staff.

A decent Sainsbury's store with plenty of stock and a decent amount of open checkouts. There is still a lot of the check out area dedicated to self checkouts but still actually have some proper checkouts.

Since you have placed barriers when you exit the self service tills you have created more of a bottle neck. I for one once I’ve paid I place my cards/receipt and purse inside my bags so I know they are safe.
Today I visited at 14.45 and I scanned my receipt and put my purse away again and the barrier opened and closed on me.
I was met by a very charming young man called Scott who checked my receipt and told me I need to move quicker!!!!
How dare he say that to me. I have a right leg and knee injury therefore I do walk slow.
I really am disappointed in Sainsburys and the attitude I received today….I will be making a complaint to Lawrence (Manager).
You are just inconveniencing the law abiding citizens….

Most terrible experience I’ve ever witnessed in a supermarket . Filthy dirty place with rubbish on floor down isles. When I asked for help from one of the managers(tall black man with glasses) holding a clipboard , who had the personality of a corpse for help with item location he just pointed to the isle number , and then found out it was the wrong isle.After collecting shopping I then proceeded to the checkouts where the self checkout queues were so long that I decided to leave the store without my food. NEVER AGAIN will I go to this store

This is a light and spacious store the shelves are always well stocked and the staff are friendly and helpful the only down size is that most of the tills are self service
