A good-sized supermarket with pretty fair prices. I was especially happy with their cheese selection, but they have a good variety of produce, snacks, health supplies, and alcohol. Plus, this location is great—right above the Gloucester Road underground station. This is a boon if you’re staying in a nearby hotel.

A great place to get all your essentials and more.
It has just about everything you need, including a dedicated meat, fish, cheese and deli counters. A good selection of wines and fresh fruit to fill your basket.
A visitor can easily miss, as the little arcade it is located in has definitely seen better days but once inside you don’t care.
I find the staff especially helpful, whether it be a cut of meat of helping you find something on the shelf

Very good newly opened supermarket which had almost everything we needed when returning to the hotel or leaving it , they provide many self service machines in there too to avoid any delay waiting to pay with the assistance of the cashiers

Visiting from NYC and staying nearby. Welll stocked, comprehensive grocery, decent wine selection. Connected to the tube station. Remember to bring your own bags in London. They have reusable bags to buy if you don't have one. And they close super early unfortunately, but I think that's normal in London.

They no longer have "best before" dates on most fruits and vegetables (which I guess is the newest trend for supermarkets). I wanted to buy some green beans and every pack I looked at had some rotten or moldy beans in it. You would have to throw half of the pack away and consume the rest within a few hours. I looked at some Brussels sprouts and it was the same thing. Lots of brown and shriveled-up sprouts. The same was true for the broccoli. Some stalks had very dark brown bits that were rotten. I normally will still eat broccoli when it's yellow, but this did not look appetizing at all. I even wonder if it's completely safe to eat. People have died from eating bean sprouts that were off. I complained and was told that you have to examine every pack individually to see if it's rotting. And all this rotting stuff was being sold at full price. I have never seen anything like this in the UK. I was always amazed at how fresh things were here in the UK. I never throw things away if they were beyond the best-before date as long as they looked ok, but I don't want to have to examine every pack of food I buy and try to guess how long it might last once I get home.

Also, the store was recently closed for renovation, but other than rearranging everything, I don't see any improvement to the store.

The only good thing about the store is that the people working there are usually very nice.

In absolute shock. Bought some dry aged beef ribs from the fresh counter only to get home & find it completely gone off with visible mould!!!!! Gone in the bin.

I like your supermarket, it’s comfortable and really close to my place! But I’m little bit sad about your politics with chicken😿 one month ago I bought without any problems half of chicken (warm, grill I think) and that’s all, from one month ago , your supermarket stopped selling chicken in half, now you can only buy a whole warm chicken, and it’s really make me sad!
I can't eat a whole chicken, and I can't raise my hand to buy a whole chicken and throw half in the trash. I think many people who live alone will support me. please, if you have the opportunity, listen to the opinion of single people. lonely people also like warm chicken and want to buy and eat it.
