Does what the name says, small but well stocked and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Good selection of yogurts, cheeses and juices. Prefer it above other mini supermarkets in the area as always have at least one cashier so do not feel obliged to use self check-outs.

A nice place to jump into to buy some snacks instead of over-priced food from cafes and restaurants around the square. This supermarket is well stocked with everything. There's plenty of self-service checkouts available.

This Sainsbury's Supermarkets at Paternoster Square sells SIM cards by Vodafone that has a face value of 20GB data for 11lb but actually has only 5MB of data. Within 2 days, my Google map stopped working because it ran out data allowance. I was puzzled initially but proceeded to refill the SIM card with a 15lb. To my surprise, this did not give me any additional data allowance. Instead, it increased my calling and texts allowance which is of no use to me. When I tried to return the SIM card to Sainsbury's for a partial refund, the store manage says the SIM card can only be returned within 24 hours. This is a SCAM because no one would be able to detect this data shortage problem within the 1st 24 hours and when one does, it is too late to return it. Do not buy Vodafone SIM cards (and probably all its SIM cards) from Sainsbury's Supermarkets at Paternoster Square.

This small supermarket has everything what you need dutiny the day. Has a lot of fast food to choose from such as baguettes, sandwiches, etc. What I really liked was the fresh orange juice.

Useless stuff... Not professional!!!! If they closed 11pm why pushed for quick shopping in 3 min because they closed now... Not helpful at all... Good luck

A reasonably well stocked Sainsburys Local, but stocks of some essentials like toilet paper were non-existent!
Staff seemed a bit preoccupied talking about anything but work when I tried to attract their attention.
Other than that, it's an OK store.

Quiet during the pandemic 'working at home'. Very limited range of products but fine for basics!

Great shop close to St Paul’s. Free water station too! And a juicing station.
