M&S Simply Food

Very reliable M&S with helpful staff and a good selection of food produce with freshly baked bread. The cheese loaf is delicious if quite expensive. Gets very busy at lunchtime with visitors to Greenwich and between 5pm and 6pm. Very good service on M&S goods delivered there but bizarrely they have to be returned to a larger store.

Love m and s as its a very reliable place when it comes to quality and fresh food. Had a stop here to buy me some lunch and a great coffee

Love this local M &S. Some lovely helpful staff. Limited product range probably due to size of store. No wheeled baskets, which is difficult to shop with physical disability - shopping trolley bag; stick and need to hold a basket which cannot hold my shopping. Have spoken to staff about this, but they are not optimistic 😔

I will not shop here again. All the tills are now 'self service' which means you have to scan everything yourself and wait for a surly member of staff every time the scanner doesn't work, if you use your own bag or buy a bottle of wine. I bought three items and the machine called the supervisor three times. Cashiers used to be trained to use those scanners and were apologetic if there was a problem. Now customers are made to do that job for free and are made to feel like they are causing an inconvenience/ delay to other customers and the 'supervisor'. That is not what I expect to experience in what is marketed as a relatively premium shop like M&S.

I had a bit of trouble with the self checkout machines but got some help from Jun. Shop needs more staff

Can't really fault it, good deals at times, usually very busy because of the footfall.

This M and S Simply Food has very fresh sweet pastries, muffins and baguettes. The selection of sandwiches and drinks are relatively good. Recently they have upgraded the self service tills which makes payment easier.
Most of the staff are friendly.

We went inside to grab a bottle of water but they were all from the fridge and I needed one for my little boy. I asked the lovely lady part of the staff (she was already busy arranging stuff on the shelves) if she can check for me if there are some bottles out of the fridge. She responded so polite and immediately went to check for me. She quickly came back to me with the water. I'm a happy customer and the staff is helpful and lovely. I'm not sure about the name of this lady, I think was something like Mariyan. Will definitely go back and I know if I need something, the staff will always be there for me. Thank you.
