Tesco Express

I go in almost every day so nearly all the staff know me n say hi n chat to me which is nice plus they all do what they can to help me get what l need. The food selection is good but some of it is slightly overpriced for what you're getting & some of my favourite items have been recalled in the last year or so which sucks but overall l never have a bad visit.

Good store, everything you expect from Tesco. However I have noticed over the last couple of weeks, lots of customers are not wearing masks and social distancing. Tesco do not appear to do anything about this. So I give 4 stars instead of 5 stars. This issue is something they need to sort out urgently as they are allowing people to break the law in their store, and protensurly spread covid-19.

I was in this shop on Saturday. I have no issue with the staff whatsoever but social distancing was not being complied with in the isles and the set up at checkout meant it was impossible to maintain a minimum of six feet between myself and the cashier. In addition there was no Perspex screen up to protect the cashier, she said they, TESCO kept saying "they are coming"
This is the first shop I have visited in three weeks where I left feeling quite un-safe and I will never return until this virus issue has gone, well gone.
TESCO! Very poor duty of care to your staff in my opinion, just not good enough.

Electric had gone in town, only wanted to drop a Hermes parcel (which does not require any electric) and they wouldn’t let me. Any excuse to not have to do any work!

Not impressed seeing staff at tills or packing shelves chewing chewing gum, looks unprofessional and a pet hate.
I have also seen senior members with gum in their mouths, some staff try to hide that they are chewing to no avail.

seriously the woman behind the customer service grabbed something i was about to pick up from the reduced section and put it behind the till for herself 1 and a half hours before closing? surely that’s not fair on customers. your staff should be ashamed.

Location great and staff great hence the 2 stars.
Prices are an absolute rip off all of a sudden, I know these places charge a bit more than the big tesco but this is horrific, I'm done with this place after this mornings visit and would now rather walk down to marks and Spencer which is a lot cheaper for the items that I buy. Honestly I can't believe the greed of this place. Done with it.

Even yellow sticker stuff not cheap there now, before you excuse that on current inflation; I'd sooner shop at any other supermarket from Waitrose to Liddle. What really antagonises me is why you would sabotage your own standard of customer service. You want to buy something for a quid; que up at the kiosk for ages staring at half a dozen unused self service tills, or be forced to use your a card to spend a quid.
