- Selling produce that is often out of date and because of its high pricing, you can often find that the ‘reduction’ is still more expensive than in the majors.
- Permanently operating with a low cash float meaning they avoid paying out the odd 1p-4p change.
- Overcharging on some items that are physically price marked. This also includes reduced price items.
- Operating in a way that means management is not always present and the shop assistants are unable to make decisions for themselves. This generally means that if an issue arises it cannot be dealt with at the time (usually in the hope it will get forgotten about).
Generally, the pricing is quite high on a lot of items, including milk.
These are not just my experiences, but also of office colleagues and friends. This shop should be avoided at all costs.
On the one small positive side, the shop assistants are generally helpful where they can be.
