Great place to shop. Staff proactively helpful. Very clean, quiet and calm. (No music). Very clean toilets. Lots of recycling bins for various types of items at side of store. Argos outlet inside store! Only 2 checkouts open causing long waits for customers am 28 September 2022.

Nice big Supermarket that is always well stocked, clean & well maintained. Good value in the cafe/restaurant upstairs.
Have enjoyed the Big breakfast fry up for a few years now. Cheap and cheerful.

I like Sainsbury's it's great but it has now been taken over by automatic checkouts and only one poor staff member is looking after a huge amount. Several times I have had to wait for a very long time before the assistant can come and allow me to start self scanning again. Please bring the humans back !

Shockingly bad customer service. A packet of chicken breasts didn't have a bar code on it. So I asked an attendant for help. only took me some waving to get her attention. After a while she added a price, which seemed wrong to me. I said I am being overcharged. she insisted it was the right price. Sure enough, after i paid for it and went back to the aisle where I picked up the packet from, I noticed i was indeed over charged. So I went to customer service to request my money back. I even apologised for asking for a small sum of money back. But being a student in this financial climate, every pound counts! The employees at the service desk mockingly said you're here just for xx money back? I apologised and thanked them for returning me the money, in several coins, rather than back into my account. This left a bad taste in my mouth as I walked away. Why were they all so incompetent and rude? I thought I should write my experience here for you to read.

I'm afraid that the quality of Sainsbury's has sadly gone downhill. I have used the Heyford Hill branch for many years but I won't in the future. The standard of cleanliness has dropped, there seems to be less and less stock, the staff, in general, with the exception of one very charming Polish lady just don't seem to care about customer service. I recently watched a man refilling the potato bins, he was throwing the bags around heedless of the fact that he was damaging the produce. Staff picking orders for online shoppers are generally rude and the aisles, when stock is being replenished, resemble a recycling tip and it is at times almost impossible to get to the shelves and fridges. I have tried shopping at different times and on different days but I won't be shopping there again.

Quite unpleasant experience today with a blonde 30-something assistant on the self check out. I was in the store this morning at about 7:15 and was having issues with the self scanning. The assistant came over and had a very poor attitude, she made you feel it was all your fault, and that she wasn't there for your benefit.

Nice store shame the staff think it’s acceptable to park cars in parent and child spaces without children instead of using a normal spot! Even more of a shame when a disabled bus is struggling to park on the end and said staff just stroll past them laughing. Black Audi OV72 on 9/11/22 check your security cameras two members of staff in sainsburys uniforms.

Good but a bit expensive. I always cannot understand it - is Sainsbury’s considered premium like Waitrose? Some prices are quite high but it does not come with quality as the products in my personal opinion are Tesco quality.

Regardless, the shop has a petrol station (which in general is not as cheap as the Didcot one which is quite sad) and a big parking.
