Good place to buy groceries at low rates.
Some great deals and good produce.

Local to me. Good prices but limited product range, As always with budget supermarkets. Quietest time to shop is 0800hrs on Tuesday mornings.

Like Aldi, Lidl stocks bizarre items that their buyers can get cheap that no other self-respecting supermarket would buy.

Some of it you wouldn't even donate to a food bank.

Yes the basics are cheap like tins of beans, cheese, eggs, meat etc. But if you want something like ginger beer you ain't going to get it here.

The lack of variety leads me to other supermarkets for certain items.

Plus not all of their stock is cheap. Especially the alcohol now.

If you choose to get the basics here you will make a saving.

But be aware not everything is as cheap as it seems you have to do your comparisons.

If you've got a shopping app from Tesco's or Sainsbury's make sure you use it whilst you're shopping at Lidl to make price comparisons.

Often discount supermarkets cut down the weight and volume to make it appear that you're buying a cheaper equivalent when in fact you're not.

For the basics and for euro trash food Lidl ain't too bad.

I've gone in to buy cheese and come out with an axe and a car battery charger.

It's funny how they've made it very tempting to buy certain things like tools. It's very clever marketing.

So caveat emptor do your research. And use it for certain products.

Great little grocery shop, has more than you think. Middle Isles are always a bargain. Would more than likely need to do another shop aswell just for certain bits and bobs.

The bakery does do sum real nice cakes ....
And wish they would open more tills when your 6th in the queue...and 4 closed tills ....

It's OK there only grip I've got is if you only want one or two items you have to queue behind someone who's got a full trolly

Atmosphere not good in thar a little Christmas music in back round would help couldn't wate to get out

Great choice. Large range of protein products and a very reasonable price
