Visited one evening. A disaster.
The store is messy, dirty and unkept.
Overflowing bins at the entrance doors.
Wrappers, paper, debris on the floor of many isles.
Water on floor from multiple fridges appear to have been leaking for a considerable time, given tide marks on floor.
Holes/defects in floor at multiple locations.
Poor value for money on a number of items vs sainsburys and Lidl; Halloumi.
Outdoor appearance is also poor. The trolley station burned down.

Called in Saturday mid morning. Plenty of stock but long queue for the only checkout open. I prefer to be served by a real person, not a 'surprise item in the bagging area'. Call me old fashioned.
Checkout supervisor present, but did not open extra till.

Went just after 6 on a Friday evening and there were no checkouts open. Self-checkouts only. One elderly man was more confused than I was and I had to play grocery jenga with my shopping and wait for someone to provide a bar code for my red pepper. Further delayed by screen telling me I had "a surprise item in the bagging area." ?!?

Two not very alert members of staff were on hand to deal with dozens of shoppers. I commented that the lack of checkouts was frustrating and one of the staff incorrectly insisted "some were open" when all were shut.

I intended to pass on my observations to Customer Services, but guess what: no member of staff present. So I left, just behind a bloke who set off the security alarm but there were no staff to check so he paused and then kept walking. A shambles.

I have already stopped using Morrison's delivery service as it was so unreliable. I won't be returning to the store either.

Cutting staff and cutting costs means you will lose customers, certainly you have lost this one.

(Shelves were pretty empty too with nowhere near the choice you'd expect. If I hadn't been cooking for guests, I'd have left my basket and walked out.)

I put one star, because I can't put zero

First time here for breakfast,, The staff in the cafe,, are too busy talking to colleagues to sort customers out,
I Cleaned the table myself, absolutely disgusting..
When the ultimate breakfast arrived, with the pouched eggs on toast,
The food of cold but the plates were hot, the young girl put it in the microwave for me, and we all know what poached eggs do when you microwave them,,, rock hard,
The worst breakfast, I have ever had,,
Never again

Arrived 5pm closing time advertising 6pm, at till had to shout for a staff member, who advised due to staff cuts no hot food would be served after 5pm, saw a manager who also gave same explanation! Very poor, not a reliable choice to obtain food, hot food only available if enough staff get paid to work.

Newport store. In self checkout and on 2 occasions had to have a member of staff no smile, thank you just a miserable look. Looking down her nose as if a bad smell! Last time I go in there she is paid to serve customers good job I am not a supervisor/manger.

I went in looking for some lactose free cream. I could not see anything. So I asked a lady I'm sorry I didn't get her name. She spoke with a foreign, she said she didn't know. So she went and asked other colleagues, I had got to the tell by then. She still came over to me and said she found what I was looking for, did I want her to quickly and get it, I said yes please. And she came back with what I needed. She did not have to do that, once we thought Morrison didn't have what I wanted. But she went above and beyond looking for what I needed, and found me in the store...so Thank you for doing the extra for me. 👍😃 5*

I like this Morrisons, though I do find it annoying that the meal deal items are before the automated gates... So I can't go and get my salad from the salad bar and then collect my drink and snack... It's a pain trying to do a salad whilst also holding drink and snack ...

Also there's always a strange smell - a bit like smelly shoes as soon as you walk in. I always notice it, but after around 10 steps, the smell is gone - I assume it's where air con/heating pumps out and the system just smells of old shoes. Odd
