Iceland Supermarket Newport

I usually do my Iceland shopping online but because I was in town did my shopping and opted for delivery. Putting groceries away at home and I was met with a wet carrier bag from a Carling multi pack - I cut the packing open carefully to see what was leaking only to be met with the cans & packing moldy. Phoned the store straight away & was told to ring back the following morning to have a replacement sent out. Rang next day and was asked how many cans were leaking (I hadn't bothered to check after seeing the mold - just bagged & put outside) before being told to call into the store for a replacement. I said that I could not do that today so someone did finally bring a replacement. I thought that the whole nightmare was over when I decided to cook tea (using chicken thighs also purchased from the same store at the same time . As soon as I opened the packing the smell of rotten meat filled the kitchen ,parts were dry on the edges, grey in others and they were sticky to the touch . I purchased on the 18/01/20 with a use by day of 21/01/20 - surely if the store had kept it at the correct temperature I should have been able to use it the day after purchasing

Any 3 for £10 DOES NOT INCLUDE all items labeled any 3 for £10!!! Apparently I’m stupid and can’t use my common sense according to one member of staff at the Newport commercial street store. Horrible man with very short dark hard probably in his early 50s. He doesn’t wear a name badge but avoid him at all cost. I don’t come into a shop and expect to be called stupid and shouted at.

Lovely pleasant human being at the self scan who agreed the offer doesn’t make sense and was really helpful. Didn’t expect when I was thanking her for her help that the man would come marching back over to start having a go at me again in front of a load of other customers. The store is let down by one horrible man who clearly shouldn’t be in a customer-facing role.

Awful place to shop and I wouldn’t want to go back.

They had very nice & friendly employees there ! I wanted to get those shopping bags with Welsh flag print on & I thought they sold those ! The cashier lady asked another lady for me & she told me that was Aldi. Sadly ,I couldn't go there as it was out of my itineraries !! ( but,got different one at a souvenir shop in Saundersfoot !! A nice lady told me where she got it ! ) I bought bottles of water & some candies .A nice shop ,very affordable prices & very good services. 👍 This was in late August .

Staff welcoming and getting shelves filled for Christmas already!

I shop here. Very. Good 👍 shop all there. Hov there prices. Gon. Up. Or double.d. staff Very. Help full. Very good. For home 🏡 delivery it very. Expensive

Lacking checkout staff, yes self scan is available, but having to queue to serve yourself is a bit much, staff seem more interested in the home shopping crates piled up at the front of store.

Favourite shop , food prices are ok and the staff are amazing

Actually visited this store twice over the last two days yesterday was served by a young lady who could be best described as a rottweiler chewing a wasp......today excellent service. Not an easy job right now retail as I myself have over thirty five years in this job so keep it up shop workers lol
